My Gp has agreed to give me a gym description too, can't do much at the mo as I had an accident on Tueday and have damaged the ligaments in my knee and ankle.
I did it falling out of my frony door, which I am sure will give you all a good giggle!!!!
I am on a really strict diet though, so I have lost 5lbs so far.
So I am sure we can all do this!!!!

well done vikki, thats fantastic!!!!
obviously falling over on your doorstep was a bit stupid but im willing to forget that as you have made such a positive step in losing weight!!
What diet are you doing? I need a good easy to follow one.
I feel terrible as i have just eaten a packet of biscuits with my cup of tea ( even i know that this is ridiculous! ) I am excusing myself as i have a throat infection and therfore feeling sorry for myself but of course, it isnt an excuse for eating the whole bloody packet. I've gained 1/2 a stone in 3 weeks. I've had to cancel the gym tonight cos im poorly and have also hurt my back from picking up isabelle the wrong way so im one big failure.
Any help, from anyone, on the diet front - greatly appreciated.

I asked for a Gym prescription and they said noting doing??
As I am disabled and with high blood pressure and really need to exercise and because I can not walk well really do need to swim or use machines like cycle machines, I think this is not right and I shall be looking into this.
But good luck with yours
I have lost a few pounds but this is because I have got food poisoning since the wedding – yes really only found out what it was today but I have been really ill

I hope you are starting to feel better Veritee, food poisoning is the pits.
I had it in my teens, and I lost tonnes of weight, but not the right way to go about it I feel.
I'm doing the Weight watchers No count diet, you eat what you want of a list, no processed foods, all fresh, and its great, i eat 3 meals a day, and fruit for snacks, and you have 21 points a weeks for treats, but i'm trying not to use mine, although have been bad this week, mostly due to not being able to get into the kitchen due to my knee, but I'm not giving up.
i'd def recommend it, altho HV did say it might not be good for me to diet at the moment, but I feel i'm doing something for myself, and that helps me feel beter, I was cross with myself the first week, but i think I'm ok with it now.
I hope everyne else is getting on fine, we will all be fit toned honeys really soon!!!!

I got home from weight watchers last night, and I really thought I would have put wieght on, as I have been sat on my bum all week, but I actually lost 4lbs. I got my first silver 7 sticker and have lost 9lbs on 3 weeks over all.
It really does make you feel good, and hopefully when I start excerising, the wieght will drop off.
I even lost moe than my mum, which made feel even better, although, horrible to admit.
So, if I can do it girls, anyone can, I really have a lot to lose, but this seems a very healthy way to do it.
Best of luck

I think you will really enjoy the gym vikki. Has it got a creche? I registered izzy at the creche today so i dont have to rely on richard being home or my mum being around.
I have been enjoying it so much. I feel so energised afterwards and i like knowing that i am doing something to benefit my health.
The cross trainer is a killer but i like everything else.
Let me know how you get on with it.

I actually managed to get to the sports centre on wednesday(at nine in the morning) and swam 30 lengths, my gym induction is on monday. Im also trying to walk to school instead of driving and go on a few good walks at weekend. I must admit the more i do the more energetic I am feeling and it certainly combats the anxiety. I have also been invited to kick boxing by a friend and I am tempted to try it. This must be very catching this exercise lark role on sixe 10.

ok with working nights sleeping days and 3.5 kids i dont get much time to go to exercise clubs but the one thing that i think has helped lift this illness out of me and go the old heart pumping again and muscles aching is my allotment that me and my hubby have been working on since we got it last september. It was a mess full and i mean full of 6ft hight brambles. It now resembles an allotment even if nothing is growing there yet.We are making it kiddy friendly and actually have two and a half plots but only working on one and a half at the mo.We are trying to make it low maintainance as we dont have the time to put in like some of the old boys up there with us but we put in 4-5 hours a weekend and that is non stop hard digging so i guess its exersice and the kids love it up there and its out in the fresh air and its ours a home away from home and there is still so much to do.If anyone is doubtful to whether or not they can do it i have taken just me and my three kids 5,3,18months up there and have been able to supervise them while i dig.of course they dig too with the little trowl sets from poundland ah what would i do without that shop. It good fun, hopefully productive and home grown produce will come out of this if i can battle the slugs organicly and i get to educate my kids subtley in healthy eating and life cycle of plants.Once me lawn gros that im putting up there and the swing and second shed that we are going to use as a tea house we will be going up there for summer picnics and bar b qs.Another side of this is when i have felt so down that i could run away i do.i have a safe place to go and scream my head off, talk to myself non stop and cry and cry and cry and wehen i feel like beating seven shades out of someone i get my spade and fork out and dig for no purpose i just dig or prune thats another satisfying up lifter. Also because of the paranioa and panick attacks around people i can go there and im out and no one can see me apart from a few die hard allotmenteers. Ok so i sound anorakish i guess, but i get all this therapy for £40 a year rental. Ok i guess this should also go in the alternative therapy section too iguess. I would recomend this to anyone as i do believe it has aided in my recovery and i can finally say i am recovering.

That is so graet wendy
GArdening is fantastic excersise, and it is nice to have somewhere to escape to.
Colette finds gardening therapuetic, I think she is trying to convert me, but I am very bad at gardening.
Hope the allotment grows well
