Water with meals?

Help!

I can not for the life of me remember how to give water to babies when weaning with their meals.

My LO is 5 months old and I have been offering her a bottle with each solid meal but she doesn't seem to take much. She's breastfed and has one bottle at about 10.30pm every night of expressed milk so I'm not worried about dehydration but want to establish her on water at mealtimes in the future.

Can I give her a beaker at this age? Any recommendations? You'd think I'd remember but the first one is nearly 4 and it all seems so long ago!

Hiya Bobyn,

My LO was bottlefed and I gave him a little bit of water in his bottle (about 1oz) at around 6 months with dinner, and sometimes a wee bit of freshly squeezed orange juice into it. Both my kids predominantly drank milk as well with/after meals and my LO is a guzzler when it comes to his milk, he'd prefer it to food if he could have it. Nowadays he drinks 1 cup of water during the day and 2 bottles of milk, he's 16 months.

Just want to say considering your LO is only 5 months, you are recovering very nicely girlie:)
