I am afraid I had to laugh hysterically about the you tube bit.
Yes to be told I was on you tube giving birth would be about the worse thing I would have wanted to be told when I had PNI ;D
However this was very brave of you Liz.
I usually put myself on the line for things that I believe in and are worthwhile but I have only one photo of me in labor and I can't say even I want to look at it and it only shows my straining red face and the bump in front!! But good for you - I do not think I have ever seen it and I do have sky - but if you want to post it please do.
It would be nice to see a quick and quiet water birth.
My friend had one too as she employed a doctor who had got disillusioned with the local maternity services - he was a obstetrician with many years experience at the local hospital I went to but resigned as he felt the system was damaging to mothers and children.
So he went round privately to mums with a portable water bath and despite her having two previous horrible hospital births with compilations she had two further home births with his help with no difficulty.
I considered it but backed out scared but I now wish I had had the gusts to do the same and not book myself into that horrible hospital as I am sure had I been at home things would have been different

I have a copy so will have to work out how to do something with it. Quick birth is the right description lol. I am often slated for putting forward views which dont always follow the normal route, dont like doing anything normally lol. I was going to do be filmed with Peanut too but I had to back out as was having problems with the PNI ( with hindsight) and with my children. Liz x

hi, i just joined this site after being on the old one, i was retropussycat on there! lol but, i think this thread is ace! im feeling bad at the moment remembering everything people tell me. like stay positive and its not all that bad etc- just like veryone else! but my best friends tell me im not depressed! thats what drives me insane! to be told im not depressed when i clearly feel and am!! 'you need to be around your friends, your not depressed, just lonely!' im not lonely, i have many people around me. theres always someone i speak to online everyday... i hate being told, 'arent there any groups you can go to?' by people who know me and know i have this irrational fear of telling people i dont know my fears etc.. jeez! i sound so insane!

Hi Molliesmum I have replied more fully to you here: veritee.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=abuse&action=display&n=1&thread=5045I hope you are feeling better today? But we were a bit puzzled as to what the old site you were referring to where you were 'retropussycat' as this site has been going since at least 1998 and we had another forum system up to 2002 and then this one started in 2002, so we are not a new site/forum at all and we are not replacing any other site. But it is fine that you join us here - you are very welcome. I too absolutely hated being told 'I did not look depressed' I do not know what people expect us to look like or behave?? In fact the majority of women with PNI cope very well and many hold down jobs as I did as well has coping with their family, and of course we do not go around looking 'down' all the time. Most of us just have too much to do and jsut have to get on with it. But we suffer internally and often do not tell anyone how disstressed we feel and bad our thoughts and fears are. But you can tell us here - whatever they are about as we have all been their in one way or another Veritee XX
