How long does it last?

Hello,
I know this is probaly a silly question but how long does PND last. I had a teen pregnancy which was the start of PND and although I had a brief 'happy spell' inbetween I don't feel I ever really got over it. I now have 4 month old twins and have been diagnosed with PND, my older son is now 7. Could I have had it for that long? Does anyone else have the same feelings?

I had my 1st daughter 13 years ago and feel that I have never totally got over my PND. I have two other children 9 & 7 and felt wonderful but resented any time that my eldest took me away from them. It sounds awful when I actually put it into words as I have never spoken that out loud!

I enjoy my younger two childrens company so much more and get alot of enjoyment from them (my middle son is autistic so really hard work as well)

I dont know if it has anything to do with how old I was (19) or the labour, lonliness etc I felt after having my eldest I do know that I would love to 'love' her as I feel I should though.
