Right I've been putting this off since forever. In my original Pni diary I did start to track my weight and was doing really well, this was ages ago now but I managed to loose nearly 2 stone and was even able to run for a few yards, was well pleased with myself. However as it is with everything I do, I soon got fed up with it all. Fact of the matter is I can think of nothing worse than having to think about what I eat and the thought of excersise makes me feel physically sick. I am extremly unfit and since loosing my Nan 3 months ago have managed to balloon right back to where I started in fact 2lb more There are things going on in life right now that I need finished I need closure on my Nans death, we were very very close. But to be fair its just another excuse. I knew I'd been putting weight back on but was choosing to ignore it. Thing is most of the summer I have been slobbing round in my pjs while I do the hosework coz its so hot, yesterday I tried to put a pair of trousers on and OMG was that embarrassing. I had to go searching for my size 20s that I had hidden away never to be touched again. So to stop the waffle I am currently 16 stone 2lb and only 5ft 2in at the moment a size 20. I only had the courage to post this thread due to seeing that one other brave soul was also my weight when they started. Right the plan? Well I've sort of done this on the spir of the moment so I don't have a brilliant one as yet but I do have a 3 day heart foundation diet that a fellow member gave me ages ago and I find that works best for me. I am also going to force myself into 30 mins of something a day.

Monday 17th
I hadn't actually started then but Monday seems to be general weigh in day so thats where I'll start.
WEIGHT 16st 2lb FOOD Anything and everything (normal day) EXCERSISE Hoovered every room in the flat (40 mins) this is heavy going for me and took the kids for a walk to the shops and back via the park (30 mins normal pace walking)
Tuesday 18th
Bit unprepared. Must keep my water intake up.
BREAKFAST black coffee and 1 slice toast with just marmite.
LUNCH black coffee, half pot of cottage cheese with 5 crackers
I have had 1 litre of water by 1pm.
DINNER half tin tuna, half tin chopped tomatoes and half my normal size portion of pasta.
Now upto 2 and half litres of water for the whole day.
EXERCISE 30 mins brisk walking round park with kids. (they were running lol).
To be honest it doesn't sound alot but I have eaten like this before and it does give me a boost. I actually struggled to finish my lunch because I was making sure I ate slowly and drank all of my coffee. I haven't started this 3 day diet thing yet but this is based on it.

Well done Giz on starting your healthy eating plan (don't like calling it a diet!).
So sorry for the loss of your Nan, that must be really hard for you since you were close. I hope taking control of this area in your life, your weight etc., makes you feel good about yourself. I feel so much better after doing weight watchers for 4 months. I'm still a long way off my ideal weight but at least now I can stand to look in the mirror most days which I couldn't bring myself to do before.
All the best with your weight loss.
p.s. in your photo you look stunning and don't look like you need to lose weight!

Thanks for the encouragement. The picture is one of a set that was taken back in feb 07 for a magazine article I did. These are the only ones I let anyone see. In reality I am about 7 stone over weight.

Hi Giz,
Welcome to the weight loss forum!! I think having a special weight loss diary is much easier because you can keep track of what you are doing. Also you get to read everythin that everyone has done and it spurs you on to do well yourself.
Good luck x

Hi Larsbars, yes I'm hoping that keeping this diary it will make me stick to it for longer. I'm not one to carry these sorts of things on all that long to be honest. Huuby doesn't appear to have figured out what I'm upto yet which is suprising coz he is normally on the ball with me eating strange stuff but its also quite good coz I know he will comment when he can see an improvement in my weight. Its better that way coz you know its genuine. So today. BREAKFAST black coffee and 1 slice toast with just marmite LUNCH 5 crackers with half pot of cottage cheese DINNER 2 slices of toast with half tin of baked beand and half a tin of chopped tomatoes. Water intake approx 2 litres, I struggled with this one today. EXERCISE bugger all ;D bad I know but hey. Not too sure what tomorrow brings coz I'm out of food and money til Friday and it is hubbys day off tomorrow so could be what my mum calls 'ifits' (if its in the cupboard you can have it). Done a naughty today and got on the scales, I'm terrible at this but I do like to keep a check especially to begin with and I lost 2lb yesterday

Been on the scales again SLAP. At least I know its working coz I'm now down by 3lb in total from Monday Won't be doing the scales tomorrow mind you coz as expected its all gone to pot today. Started well. BREAKFAST black coffee and 1 slice of toast with just marmite. LUNCH half foot subway with pepperoni, salami, ham and cheese Mmmmm Water intake very little oops and drunk cola today as well. SNACK malteesers and onion ring crisps DINNER will be sausage and chips. Fact of the matter is you have to have one nice food day a week, it keeps the cravings down, mood up and body confused enough to keep loosing weight. I do normally only diet for 3 days then eat normal but carefully for 3 days and so on. Plan for tomorrow LOADS of water and back on track at least for another 2-3 days. EXCERSISE I almost forgot half killed myself today walking back from dropping the car off to be repaired. Good 20 min hike through the woods (got lost) plus walking round town for an hour and shifting loads of stuff to the dump. Come to think of it I deserved that subway

Hi Giz,
I'm totally with you on having a crap food day. I tend to be good from Mon to Fri and then from Fri night til Sun night I let myself eat whatever (obviously within reason) but if I want a takeaway I have one and if I want a chocolate binge I'll have one. I am only losing a pound a week but I'm kind of happy with that. I don't feel like I am missing out and I'm losing weight. Obviously Christmas doesn't count cos youare supposed to put weight on then but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it ;-)
Don't be disheartened about today. Sometimes trying to eat healthy just isn't convenient and we don't have personal chefs to rustle us something up when we want it. Get back on it tomorrow and I'm sure in another 2 or 3 days you'll have lost some more.

I think thats definatly the right attitude, you should never deprive yourself of anything. I know some people say if they want chocolate and eat it they will have a whole bar but I'm quite good in that I can limit myself to just 1 or 2 squares, just enough to take the craving away.
Yesterday didn't seem to do me any harm anyway, I think the extra excersise helped. So today I've had
BREAKFAST black coffee and 1 slice of toast with peanut butter
LUNCH black coffee and 5 crackers with half pot of cottage cheese
DINNER 2 slices of toast with half tin of chopped tomatoes, half tin of tuna and onion and mushrooms
WATER not been too bad probably just under 2 litres, I really struggle with the water.
EXERCISE not much just wandering round the shops paying bills.
Not been feeling all that well today. Steve found out early on that a friend had died whilst on holiday and there had been 2 major accidents near to us one of which saw 3 teenagers killed. Think its been playing on my mind a bit.
Plan for tomorrow is to pritty much stick to the same thing again, unless I'm still feeling ill in which case I will add a bit of sugar. Really must keep the water going. The kids have driven me mad today so think I will walk them to the shops in the morning, so that can count as excersise.

Got my comeuppance this morning for weighing myself too often. Stepped on the scales and was well amazed to be 8lb down from monday so off I went. Then something just went off in my head that the battry was lo so I should double check. NOT 8lb at all. But I have lost another 1lb since yesterday. so that takes me from 16st 2lb down to 15st 11lb in 5 days thats actually 5lb still bloody good if I do say so myself. I will record it on here properly on Monday. Off to have brekki now. BREAKFAST black coffee and 1 scrambled egg on toast. LUNCH 1 roll with lots of cottage cheese and ham. DINNER homemade meatballs mash and gravy kids size (left overs basically) WATER approx. 2 and half litres EXCERSISE usual walking round shops plus quite a few stairs to get to and from Joeys friends party. Found today hard, been very grumpy and wanted to eat normal stuff, felt I needed to comfort eat.

Typical me, starts something and never continues with it. The idea was to put in here every day what I had eaten, whether it was crap or not. Mind you I'm not feeling too well right now so thats my excuse.
From memory Sunday and Monday started well with coffee and toast then escalated into a normal lunch of rolls and crisps and ended in Sunday, sausages and chips and Monday Sweet and sour. Both days I snacked on a few biscuits and chocs and drank cola, but I did keep my water up.
MONDAYS WEIGH IN 15st 10lb ;D
So Starting weight 16st 2lb week one weight 15st 10lb LOSS of 6lb This is normal for me and will now probably change to approx. 2lb a week must remember that.
So today Tuesday
BREAKFAST black coffee and 1 slice toast and cottage cheese
LUNCH black coffee and 1 and half slices toast and cottage cheese.
DINNER cicken an mushroom slice and simons chips (couldn't finish it fet too ill)
WATER getting there.
EXCERSISE no chance.
Really not feeling at all well today, sick after eating and bad tummy cramps so just eaten what I felt like to be honest.

Giz - didnt you get me into that thing on the internet that tracks your exercise and what you eat? I had abn email from them to say it is now called Daily Burn and i downloaded it onto my ipod. I enter my stats and what I have eaten every day and done in the way of exercise and it tracks it for you.. very handy. Though its a bit too honest, and i realised yesterday that the wine really did top my calories over the edege and instead of having 1400 had over 1700 ooops.
Cant remember what it was called before but I am sure it was you who got me in to it?? Gyminee or something?

Feeling a bit better now. Took a senokot earlier and been trying to keep hunger at bay coz cramps plus hunger pangs are the worst.
BREAKFAST nothing
LUNCH 1 slice bread and butter and chicken and mushroom slice
DINNER 2 slices of bread and butter and 6 tinned hotdogs, mini ice cream twister
WATER about 1 litre plus some cola and orange and mango juice.
EXCERSISE well I crawled from the bed to the bath and back again, does that count?
