Hopefully once the diazepam kicks in you will feel less agitated. I know it's probably very very hard for you to concentrate right now but is there anything you could do to keep you busy for a while? Cleaning/reading/watching TV? Something mindless that requires little thought? That used to help me through the worst times. Just a suggestion.
Keep talking hun, I'm at work today and tomorrow but regularly check in here xx

Do u think its defo the meds increase? Hopefully the diazepam will help you calm down a bit. Cold and tiredness defo doesn't help.
Agree that distraction techniques can help. Playing games, doing sit ups anything like that can help. Try something for few mins at a time x

Thank you ladies, I feel a little bit better now after the diazipam but will take another later too. I think my added anxiety today is a combination of the meds increase and the cold and just waking up everyday for the past 7weeks ive been on these meds feeling as miserable as ever. I honestly just want to stop taking them rather than increase them when ive seen no improvement in 7weeks as it is! I have decided I will give the dose increase 1week and if I still feel this awful I am not going to take anymore because I think 8weeks is long enough to say ive give it fair chance with no noticeable improvement, I want to try somthing else now xxx

Glad ur feeling better. Have u tried breathing techniques to calm urself a little . That can help too.
Good luck with increase - hopefully it will help. If not talk to dr about how to come off meds. Weaning urself off slowly is probably the best way to do itx

Hi Rochelle, I have postnatal anxiety disorder And Pnd and I can recognise a lot of what you've said. The health anxiety can be crippling and stopped me taking anti-dis for quite a while. I'm now on them and thinking they must be helping as I'm managing more these days compared to 6 months ago. I too take diazepam when needed. It's a lesser of 2 evils in my mind and can bring great relief. I have found sleep a huge impact on my anxiety levels especially. Hope today is a good one. Hugs to you brave warrior xx

Thank you for the replies ladies. I don't mind taking the diazipam every now and then it does concern me though that I am having to take it every day aswell as some zopiclone sleeping tabs too. Its seems to be abit defeating the objects when im having to take diazipam and sleeping pills to stay on an anti depressant that is supposed to be helping me yet all ive seen it do in 7weeks is make me more anxious and ruin my sleep :/ xxx

Well day 3 at 40mg and my anxiety is through the roof I don't think these pills are any good for me xxx also I think my chest and back pain may be inflammation from over breathing and probably a little caused from incorrect breast feeding because I used to hunch over alot to feed and carried my daughter everwhere :/ xxxx

Whilst it can take a bit for meds to kick in you clearly r feeling dreadful . Can u make emergency drs appt for tomoz as I think u need help with what to do re meds. It's not fair on u - u need guidance and support . How's the weekend been?

My Dr has told me to give it until Thursday to review my meds but I have a feeling he will want me to give it longer as he just says "give it longer" and "we can go up to 80mg" there is no way I am upping my dose again. I have decided that I am going to tell him on Thursday that either he weans me off/switches my medication or I will just stop taking them altogether myself, ive had enough now 8 weeks almost of feeling like groundhog day over and over xxx

Hugs. It is awful if meds r just making u worse. Perhaps before drs visit go and talk to local pharmacist and tell them how ur feeling in meds . It will be another opinion .
How has today been?x

Hi Just wondering how ur doing? X Hello Monica Thank you for asking. I had a couple of better days as the increase in fluoxetine seems to make me be able to sleep better but I am still having alot of anxiety and panic throughout my days although my depression has lifted a bit. I have felt particularly anxious today and have needed a diazipam and may need to take another! I am due my monthly cycle on Monday so I am hopingthis extra anxiety is pms related xxx
