Help us understand women’s experiences seeking help for postnatal mental health symptoms! There is also a chance to win a £50 amazon voucher!
Hello! I am a 4th year medical student at Brighton and Sussex Medical School and I am carrying out a research project on the barriers that women face when seeking help from a health care professional for their postnatal symptoms of depression, anxiety or stress. I am especially interested in women’s experiences when they seek help from a GP.
I have created an online survey (which takes about 20 minutes to complete) asking women to let us know what their experiences were when they considered seeking help for any of the symptoms mentioned above.
We hope that by gathering information about women’s experiences, we can make suggestions to policy makers and GPs about how to remove some of the barriers that women face when seeking help for postnatal illness.
