I had a 30 min sleep this morning and will try again when she goes back down.
I don’t wake up thinking about anything or if I do manage to switch off quickly. Am hoping sleep will improve with meds and trying to keep saying stop during the day.

Glad you managed to get some this morning. Did you get any more this afternoon?
I know it feels like wading through treacle at the moment but it will get easier I promise xx

No. She only slept for 30 mins at lunch so by the time I’d eaten she was up. Then she fell asleep on me when I was carrying her home this afternoon
Hasn’t been too bad though. I think consciously saying stop is helping
Fingers crossed tonight I don’t wake up quite so much!

My sleep was even worse last night. Am so tired today which isn’t helping me be positive.
Am out walking the pram as hope fresh air helps.?
Am waking up really hot and feeling sick, which when our flat is the coolest it’s been is weird. My lush order should arrive today I hope it helps

Aww no that's a real shame as you're right it does make it more difficult to stay positive. Just be extra kind to yourself today and rest where you can. If it helps I would be inclined to say that could be linked to the meds as I had awful hot flushes and sickness with them and when coming off them too! They soon disappear though once you get used to having it in your system x

I just can’t sleep. I slept ok until 1 ish then dozed till 2.30 but have pretty much been awake since then. My daughter slept till 5.30
This is the worst my insomnia has been and now I have sickness and hot flushes with it.
Am not sure the meds are worth it!
I feel tearful already today but that’s tiredness

As an insomniac I can relate to you. Sleep deprivation is horrendous. Can you get a nap today? Is there anyone to mind baby for an hr?
Advice I was given by an occ therapist is that if you wake and don't fall asleep within 15 mins get up . Don't look at screens of any kind - read or do whatever for up to 1half hrs or until you feel sleepy.
Maybe give that a go? X

I would get up but I am so tired when I wake up I can’t keep my eyes open! I just can’t nod off.
I don’t have anyone around today but will get through it. Am hoping she naps longer at lunch so I can at least rest then
I wouldn’t mind been awake if I had managed to stay asleep until then. I had my lush sleepy on and was so hopeful it would work

How was your day hc? It's so awful when you can't sleep!! Download an app called headspace - I found that quite helpful to just send me off when I was really struggling with thoughts as it just cleared my mind x

It’s was ok and I had a slightly better night sleep. Not great but an improvement so will take that.
I rang my doctor today. When she called me back she said she doesn’t need to see me until I have been on the pulls for a month
I am not going to bother her again as I move house soon so will just find a better doctor!

Glad you slept better -it can make a huge difference!
Your dr sounds useless. Do you know anyone who can recommend a good practice in the area you're moving to? X

Fingers crossed sleep will slowly start to improve when the meds kick in slowly. Try and nap sometimes where you can in the day. Would dad have the baby for a by so you can have a nap in the day? Especially now it's the weekend! Have you googled CBT and looked into that. That may be helpful for the thoughts xx

Hey,
Am still feeling positive. Thoughts are still thrrr but under a bit more control.
Am hoping meds will improve more as on for longer
Sleep is still bad. I think i wake out of habit now as my daughter was terrible and woke me hourly from 1am until 7am for about 4 months which is what I do now.
I wonder if a sleeping tablet would help reset my sleep but I am still breastfeeding in the daytime so don’t think I can take one

Hi
So pleased you're feeling better in yourself. The thoughts will go - keep using the distraction techniques.
Just a thought about your daughters sleep - is she in her own room? If not and you have another bedroom do think about moving her out . This did help my kids although none of them were the best sleepers....
I imagine if you're BF sleep tablets are a big no no. Perhaps see your dr for advice. Have you tried yoga or Pilates in the evening - you can get loads of videos on you tube - pick something that's not too strenuous but relaxing x
