hi my name is Collette. I am 29 years old and am married with a beautiful baby boy called Jacob. He is 5 months old today. I was at the doctor today to finally accept help in the form of antiepressants for postnatal depression. I just wanted to say hi to all of the members.

Hi Collette and a big welcome!
Like everyone else I hope yu will find the site supportive?
Have you gone back and read past threads - this is often useful to get a feal of the forum and read about things that others have spoken about.
Can I ask you how you found the forum?
I keep meaning to ask new members but forget - and it is useful to know where women pick up the informatin about the site so I will try to ask all new members from now on.
(If I forget can the other moderators ask - thanks)
How long have your thought you may have PNI and did someone else suggest this - or did you think so?
Please excuse the spelling but I am a bit tired tonight and just can not spell at all!
All the best
Veritee

hi collette
i'm lucy 36 with 4 children baby daughter almost 6 mths and have dealt with pni issues with all of them. its great for reassurance this site that we arent alone, that there are thousands of women out there struggling with the same issues as us so i encourage you to post or just read and be inspired to know that although the journey of pni is often hard and tough it doesnt have to be done alone.
i pray your journey of recovery has started now.
kind regards
lucy

hi there all.
thanks for the introductions. I found the website via the Google search engine under post natal illness. I am sure this will be a useful forum. I am 29 and married. MY hubby is great and tries his best. My wee boy is fab and what you may label a "good baby", so why am I finding so hard??? I spoke to a very good older friend about not feeling right and the Gp suggested PND as did a questionnaire result by my HV. I denied this being a problem in Nov 04 and did not want to take anti - ds. Things came to a head last weekend and I decided I wanted something, anything to make this better. I will see how tabs go .
