Having returned back to work after 1 month off through PNI I have been working through my emails. To cut a long story short I came across something I needed to do. I asked team mates for details then discovered I already had emails on this. After working on this document for a few hours I saved it in a folder on my PC only to discover I had already done this work back in July. I really cannot remember doing this work and what is weird is the document read word for word the same!!! Just to add I 'flipped' around the end of July. Has anyone else experienced this? I often walk into a room to get something and cant remember what i went in for. Or then I will ask my OH a question about something and he will point out that we had quite a lengthy discussion on it a week previous, and no matter how hard I rack my brains, I just won't remember it!

Thanks ladies, I know my memory has got worse after having children but I really scared myself with this document thing. How could I forget something like that? Now when something is 'lost' at home I start thinking I've done something daft with it. I've currently 'lost' my repeat prescription. Had in in my pocket yesterday and its gone. Carol xoxoxoxox

The other day I was madly looking for my mobile phone and I was running late as usual, after a while of looking I realised I was on it talking to my girlfriend, I do lots of things like that now, Karen

Carol,
It's understandable hun. My memory has only become sharper since I'm recovering. I think when you constantly have negative thoughts in your head all day, there's no way you can give your full attention to tasks, and it's highly possible that you could have done some work and forgotten, especially since you were suffering acutely around that time by the sounds of it.
At my worst, I lost keys and locked myself out, forgot my pin number and the machine ate my card and I was left without money when I desperately needed it on the weekend, and most days I didn't know what I'd done or said from one minute to the next. It's like I was in a drunken stupor for 6 months.
Hope you are having a lovely day hun

i tell people that when i gave birth, they removed half my brain aswell. i call it the "malteaser moments" because as mum described it to me -- "its like being dark on the outside but blonde on it the inside" yes that was blonde joke, but i really do feel like it!! or if you dont like that description then try "theres a shell on the outside but its all light and airy on the inside" i forget simlpe things like the day, i have no idea of the date most of the time and even droppnig my on off at playgroup i sometimes ask the leaders if it is the right days for him to miss the mornings. i forget conversations 2 minutes after i have had them. i repeat myself over and over. i soemtimes even forget whethere i have fed the kids or not!!

So is the the PNI, having children or because we're getting older :-). My latest was asking OH when his sister was coming to visit and he replied that I had a telephone conversation with her the week before asking the same thing!!! Now that might be due to the wine hmmmmmmmmm. Loved the Maltezer gag Chelle2467 even if its non PC. One of my daughters best friends is a lovely Indian girl and her MSN name is Maltezer I asked her why and she replied shes dark on the outside but blonde in the inside. LOL Carol
