Dieing

By biggest fear is one of my babies dieing and now both of them have a cold. I know thay cant die from a cold but I cant help worrying.

I cant sleep because I keep checking that there both ok. Its driving me insane. Im so tired but cant sleep incase they die while im asleep.

Oh I hope they get bettter soon.

I'm so sorry you are feeling like this. Its a common thing for us to worry about the dying of our children. I used to worry about my first alot when he was ill. I think you get to your second you dont seem to worry so much. I also think the better you feel with regard to pni the less you worry.

I know how difficult it is to sleep when you are worried about them. Its really very very unlikely that one of them will die. Like you say its just a cold but I used to be the same. Its horrible seeing them suffering from an illness, when theres nothin you can do to help them.

It does get easier, I promise you that. I found it easier to sleep with the monitor turned up so I could hear him breathe. You could try that. I know it helped me. Just remember that all this shows is that you are a good and loving mother.

I agree with sarah - I fretted with both of mine as babies - but with PNI, I seemed to go completely over the top. It does disrupt your sleep - just hope you snatch a couple of hours tonightx

Oh gosh its been a nightmear trying to sleep he got a bad cought after he had the cold and I stayed awake all night watching his chest go up and down. A few times I nodded off but as soon as I realised I was a sleep I woke up.

He is better now and I am starting to relax. Thank god.

He is sleeping a good 8 hours at night he is an angel.
