Aaroneas right next to me, reading what I was typing, I do feel alone a lot of the time, regardless whether there is someone there or not, I have a busy week next week, but I am still dreading it.
I feel like I am slipping a bit, and whoever I tell, will just humour me, I am seeing Psychiatrist on Friday, and I seem to get more answers from him, then anyone else, but he can only come sparingly, I just don't know what I should do really

vikki, dont know if this will be much help to you but how i managed to cope was braking my day into bite size pieces. i tryed not to think of the whole day just bits of it at a time. first it was get kids up and to school. then the time i had before i picked torin up from nursery 2 1/2 hours. then lunch then getting dinner ready and tidying house. then picking bryony up from school then doing dinner and homework and baths then kids to bed. pretty much every day the same but broken down.i tried to concerntrate just on the moment or my mind would buzz and fill with negative thoughts, anger and i would end up crying or shouting at the kids.

I am now getting some naff side effects fromthe drugs, I was so drowsy last night, I think was worried, I think I may have been too hot. I am also getting muscle twitching in my hands and arms.
Also quite bad joint pain, although this is common I am told.
I think I may have painted a rosier picture to how I am actually feelingto the Intervention team, they wanted to come out, so I told them I was fine, which I am not sure I am.
Things seem to swing from one extreme to the other.
I hope these side effects wear off soon.

Hi Vikki
Oh I am so sorry you are getting these side effects - are these all side effects you were told to expect?
I know that Anti D's take a couple of weeks to kick in and settle down properly - but I do not know about the anti psy medication you are on - have you looked it up on the net to get some idea or have they told you.
With anti Ds if the side effects are going to go away they do once the drug starts working properly for you.
But if the side effects are too drastic for you to cope with and outweighs the benefits - you will have to ask them to think again.
As to the intervention team - if they wanted to come out why not let them - it might be reassuring to have a short visit at least sometime today?
Are you on your own, are the children at school or childcare and is Aaron at work?
If they are all out you could have a sleep and sleep off some of the side effects - some have said this works for them!
Anyway let me know if there is anything we can do
All the best

The children were at the childminder's today and Aaron went back to work.
It was my sister's birthday, and although I didn't want to go out, I did and we had a nice time. She also told me that she suffers with Panic attacks a lot due to her diabetes, that really helped that my always together sister has bad days too, I sound terrible don't I, but it did help.
I am still feeling bad, and my dad contacted the psychiatrist who will call me tomorrow, I could call the intervention team, but they wouldn't see the psychiatrist til tomorrow anyway.
The team will be calling me tomorrw, and I will also be seeing the HV tomorrow regarding owen's speech, so I don't really need them to come out tomorrow, but its the rest of the week I am worried about.

I have just got off the phne with my doctor.
He does not want me to have to put up with side effects.
So I am stopping the anti psychotics for 24 hours and then trying a lower dose.
If that doesn't work, then there are others we can try apparently.
He also said that even though he is at a conference this wekk, I can call him anytime I am worried about anything, I thought that was very nice of him.

That was really nice and very considerate of him
That is the sort of care I wish everyone had from their GP - he sounds great and he is right - I do nt think you should put up with such side effects either but I am not a doc so did nto really know what to suggest but to reduce or stopr takign them and see seems like a fine idea.
Have yu seen the posts abotu us writting a book together ?
I am relaly excited abotu this and your story of the visions and you anxiety would be beneficail for others if you want to join us
let me know

I have had a really tough couple of days.
The visons and sounds are back badly, its prob to do with taking a lower dose of the meds. I went out last night, and was throughlt miserabl;e and panicky.
Today has been bad too, although I am seeing my sych tomorrow.
Hope it gets better

Dear Vikki
Thinking of you. I guess the visions coming back must be because of the reduced dosage especially of the Anti Psy's
It is so difficult if yo need to get rid of these troubling symptoms - but the side effects of the meds are also very distressing.
Have you seen anyone yet to find out if they can try another anti psy medication?
I asked a friend I know who takes these things and she did say that they are like Anti Depressants - ie the side effects settle down and become manageable in about 3 to 4 weeks - so it could be worth seeing if you should go back on a bigger does for a few weeks to see if this happens to you.
Anyway I do hope your meeting with the psyc goes well today?
All the best

I saw Paych today, I have to go back on the stronger dose.
I am in a total panic all the time now.
We have had really bad storms and i was convinced it lightening was going to strike us all.
hopefully going back to bigger dose will help and I will just have to put up with the side effects.
