It's Georgina's 2nd birthday tomorrow, and as much as I'm excited. It's kinda hit me about how much I missed of her life, and now shes 2. I think tomorrow is going to be a bit emotional. I'd not thought about any of that, but it suddenly hit me today. Is it a natural part of recovering from PNI? ??

Georgina had a lovely day yesterday. She didn't really understand what it was all about. She got loads of lovely presents. I brought her cake in, candles all lit, and we started to sing happy birthday, and she put her hand on one of the candles lol she didn't get burnt really, but she wouldn't blow out the candles! haha It might just be me, but she already seems to be talking clearer. I guess becoming 2 really does make a difference! We were all exhausted though, Georgina and Alan both fell asleep in the car on the way home!
Hope your all ok xxx

Hi Susanne
Glad Georgina had a lovely day! I think being 2 makes a big difference with birthdays compared to their first as they really grasp the ides that it is a day just for them! (though to be honest I think my little girls birthday was more for me - I was the most excited!)
Hope she enjoys her presents x

Hiya everyone, Well I started my new job yesterday, and I love it. I work from home so it fits in with the kids as well. And as soon as I upgrade my mobile package, I'll be able to make calls even when I'm not at home! WooHoo. I work for Future Legal Services Ltd, I'm a PA with some sales mixed in and it's great. Money is great, job is great!
I've got a meeting with Thea's teacher today, at 1:30, so will be going to that, even though I don't really want too. I'm more concerned that they understand her medical issues than anything else, I already went to see the teacher regarding the academic stuff, so that's what I'm going to focus on. She starts on the 10th and does 2 weeks of mornings then goes full time on 24th Sept.

The meeting was ok, they had all Thea's medical folder already hanging up on the noticeboard! She starts on monday, does 9-12.10 until the 24th, then she goes full time. We can't wait, she's excited, I'm excited....should be good.
I've been to the doctors this morning, 3 days ago, I noticed a swelling on my leg, under my knee. It's not gone down at all, so went to the docs. I've got a haematoma, but we don't know why as I haven't injured my leg. So I've got to rest, and take paracetamol, and he said it should go away within 2 weeks, if not, go back and see him as I may need the blood draining! My leg is aching because of all the poking and prodding and he said if it gets worse or isn't better in a week to go back, if it starts burning or I feel ill, or it swells more, go straight to hospital, but hopefully that won't happen!
My job is going well, slow but well.

Thanks H, It's sore! But I'm dealing with it, it's not as painful as they make out it 'should' be on the internet! I keep checking it, I'm really freaked out by the fact I've got a big pool of blood under my skin! It makes me feel quite sick to be honest. I'm going to try to carry on as normal, I've got stuff that needs doing, shopping to buy, work to do.....wish I could sit down. Thea's school is a 30 min walk away so I can't just sit and do nothing!
Hope your ok H xxxx

Hi Susanne
I know its hard but try to rest up when you can with your leg so that it can get better quicker. Can you rope anyone else into doing some chores for you?
I really hope its better soon!
Thinking of you
