Thought I would give this a try, I did keep a journal along time ago of how I felt but gave up after a while. Well today I took it very easy, I usually find I feel better if I do. Liam has started to breast feed more often, he refuses the bottle when I offer it to him,he only takes a few sips, this could be another reason for my tiredness. I started to feel quite irritable around midday as the appartement was becoming a mess and I felt that no one was helping, unfortunately when I get like that I can´t see that the poor kids are doing their best to help out, when I sit down and calm down its then that I realise this-oh,dear!- Two of the children went to stay at their grand mothers yesterday evening so we have the eldest two and the youngest two with us, the middle two come back tomorrow night. I went to the shop with three of the children I always feel better if I go out for a while. Came back and saw that Aoife wasn´t well so she ate and went to bed, had trouble feeding Liam as he has a cold, finally settled him. Well all in all I had a good day, I just hope that tomorrow will be the same.

Hi Moe, How are you? Wow, sounds like you had a full on day! I feel so sorry for bubs when they get a cold and can't feed properly! They get so frustrated and upset, which is understandable, but there's not much you can do to help, which makes me sad Don't you wish we had a magical wand to make them feel better??? Do you mind if i post a reply?? If you prefer us not to just let us know . Hope you have a great day and hope all is well Lots of love, Natalie xxx

Hi Moe
Just like Natalie, I would like to know if you mind if we reply to your diary ..we are a bit terrible for that on here because we keep reading things close to our hearts and feel compelled to respond!
But if you would like a different thread for chat, to save us gate crashing your diary, we will use your original one...??
Take care lovely to hear from you,
Hopefulxx

Yes, of course please reply! Today when I got up I felt ok, fed Liam dressed him and got myself ready for the day,I then let him play a little on the floor with Aoife who he has started to laugh at when she plays with him. I sat and read a new book I got, I had not been able to read before due to the fact that I had not been able to concentrate on anything at all. After lunch the older children went out, My husband and the youngest two children were left at home, the two children slept while I continued reading- what a relaxing day, wonderful!- At about four all the children came back, there was mayhem for a while as they were arguing. My eldest child, Aoife and myself went to the shop, sometimes I panic if I have to go out, I just don´t want to meet people but I was ok,I coped.
When we came home I fed Liam, we all ate and my husband and I did our usual evening chores, I panicked as the appartement was a mess and rushed around tidying up total chaos on my part, well anyway, got Liam ready for the night, breastfed him and gave him a bottle, he fell asleep, the others messed around abit before they slept but I have learnt not to get stressed up about it. I had a relaxing evening, Liam did wake up to be fed but fell asleep again. Today I had a good day, I hope that tomorrow is the same.

Well, this morning Aoife is sick, she can´t stop being sick, tried to give her a drink of water that came up too, she is now asleep, I think that is the best way she will get over it quicker. Liam has a bad cough but is active rolling around the floor which is good, its Aoife that worries me! I find that I exhaust myself when one of the children are sick but that is far from my worries at the moment.

Hi Moe,
Isn't it awful when one of your children are sick, i have 3 kids so know how tiring it can be. Well done for managing to have a good day yesterday, its great that you made time for yourself to read your book, its good to be selfish sometimes isn't it?
Hope your day gets better and Aoife feels better soon, remember that the bad stuff won't last forever, keep smiling (it helps!)
Loadsa love

Dear Moe
Glad to read you had such a good day yesterday..nice and relaxing.
I've got one off school today - so not quite the day I'd planned! Hope Aoife feels a bit better later - as you say, sleep can really help..
I know just what you mean about panic when you go out.. I still can get that way too.
Take care Hopefulx

Aoife started to feel much better later on during the day, she had eaten some bread and kept it down. I had to go to an appointment, Aoife did not want me to go so started to cry, I felt guilty, she fell asleep soon after I left. I decided to go and have a look around some shops after wards but had to be careful in case I wanted to spend money, sometimes the urge comes over me. I went home, Aoife was much much better and everyone seemed happy, maybe because I was happier. I fell asleep during the evening, I just felt exhausted but had another good day anyway.

Aoife was still sick today, Liam has a pretty bad cough and a slight fever. All was going well for me until my husband said he had to go out and I was going to be left on my own with Aoife and Liam, I panicked. My husband went out , I felt nervous, would I cope with the two on my own? While he was gone I tidied the appartement and sat with Liam and Aoife for a while, my husband was gone for two hours, when he came back we ate lunch, then I breast fed Liam and fell asleep myself, when my eldest son came back we went to the shop with Aoife and Liam, I became very angry for some reason I think it was all the stress from getting ready to go out. When we came back I felt that I must do the tidying up and my husband had trouble getting me to eat, once I get into that mood I can´t seem to stop what I was doing, something must have started me off but I am not sure what. I felt a bit calmer in the evening.

Aoife has returned to playschool and is back to her old self again. Me, well, I can´t seem to do anything right at the moment, yesterday I had a appointement at the doctor about my medication and how I am, before I went I had to make Liams dinner, I burnt it and had to make it again, then it just got worse, I kept dropping everything and to make matters worse I missed the bus so I was twenty minutes late. My self confidence is low at the moment and I am angry most of the time. Today I went out with Liam and bought clothes for him and I then when we came home I tried to take it easy, I can´t seem to relax. Hope for a better day tomorrow.

Another bad day, there seems to be no end to this, liam was sick from three in the morning on wards, kept vomiting, so now I feel exhausted and ratty. My husband has gone out to the doctor, so I am on my own, trying to look on the bright side but finding it NOT easy. Hi Hopeful, Hope you are feeling ok, I love to have your replys.

Hi Moe,
Oh dear..I'm sitting here trying to do the same thing - trying to look on the bright side like you. My son had just started sleeping through, but last night decided he wanted 2 (not 1, but 2) bottles . Aaaaagh!! So, I feel tired too, but am going to MAKE myself go shopping after the school run and then I think I will collapse when hubby gets home. Tea time is my best time of day, I think. Anyay, Take care, thinking of you. Hopefulx
