Mood rating Had a good one today, though trying not to race around 'grabbing life by the horns' because I'm up again. Do I sound too busy? Here's what I did:- Got Anya up and off to GP's for 8.50 Chatted with GP about treatment options - got to spend 3 cycles running my pill back to back and keep a mood diary (hence starting this) Had porridge with Anya Popped over to neighbour's for coffee and to say thank you for the meatloaf she gave me! Anya's nap and I did web stuff and forum Had my friend Jane round to look after Anya for a couple of hours, more work on website Popped in to visit friend Clara and her son Tesco's and dinner Chatted to my mum on phone, she has depression and anxiety so quite draining Had nice bath with candles Forum All in all a very happy and satisfying day Hope others have had a good one

Mood rating Bit of a flatter one today, had some hard conversations with my mum (who's very ill with depression and anxiety following all that happened last year) and felt a bit tired... need to learn to listen to my body and am probably paying for yesterday's busyness! Si was great and let me have a sleep on the sofa for an hour while he gave Anya tea and then took her out for a walk. Just baked an apple cake so the day's improving slowly! Got some emails back from people doing research into PP and PNI so that was encouraging. Thanks KL for your good wishes for today - hope yours went well too and thanks for lovely PM's xxx

Hi Nay
You're very welcome I'm just glad you didn't have a face with an upside-down smile as your mood rating x
Well done with the new site research! Can't wait til it all comes together and you go live - it is so right for you to do it with your experience and knowledge.
I know the last thing we tend to listen to is ourselves, especially if it's telling us something we don't want to hear - like 'slow down', trouble is it's us that suffer in the long run. It's lovely you look out for your mum but remember you need to look after you too x
Take care and have a good night xxx

Mood ratings:- Friday Saturday first then later Friday was a lovely day with our first session of 'Sing and Sign' which is a mum and baby group doing songs and makaton signs to help babies communicate before speech. Anya had a great time, and was a bit cheeky nicking toys from the younger less mobile babies. Then we had friends over for a BBQ and I had a nice glass of wine - very convivial indeed. Saturday was mixed - Si is worrying about me being too 'up' and our psychiatrist friend said he thought I was still a bit impulsive, warning me that I might need to take mood stabilisers like lithium in the future. It was all a bit awkward discussing this with Si as the mania and delusions were so scary for him back in November... The day improved when we went off for a cream tea on Dartmoor in the afternoon, despite Anya crying all the way there in the car... hey ho! Hey KL - thanks for your good advice about remembering to slow down, I find it so hard! Naomi xx

Hi just thought I'd say hi and that it's nice to hear you sound happier
I tend to cram things in on good days as I think I'm getting back to normal and can then do everything I used to. This does make the next day a bit flat though - like I've exhausted myself rushing everything. Like KL says, take it easy and have lots of the bubble baths!

Hi Nay
So glad you've had a good weekend. Friday sounded a lovely day. I'm going to ring round this week to see what groups are available and to sign up for babies into books.
Keep heading upwards
Thinking of you

Thanks sianyc and KL - good advice about the bubble baths sianyc! Yesterday mood rating Bit of a busy one yesterday, Si and I were doing the songs for the kids praise at church and we got roped in to playing 'crab football' (where you have to have both hands and feet touching the floor) and balloon volleyball. We're too old! More heated discussions with Si about what's 'normal' for me - been such a long time since my mood's been stable and the contrast between the downs and the energetic ups makes it hard for Si not to worry... Then I read a text on his phone from his mum worrying about the same things. Felt a bit got at and as if my family are talking about me behind my back. I know they're just concerned, but I feel fine - the mania in November wasn't just being happy and energetic, it was much much more extreme than that. I guess I just have to give my family time to recover from the trauma of it, and i hope my mood will get more stable so we can all stop worrying about it. N xx

Today mood rating chilled Seem to have got the pace a bit more today. Went along to my baby music group specially for mums with PNI this morning, it's a lovely gentle time to spend focusing on Anya and giving her lots of attention and physical contact. She loves playing with the instruments and jigging along to songs. Lunch with a friend and then a mosey back down the high street to home. Now Anya's having her long mid-day nap so I'm free to spend a bit of 'me' time on the computer. Lovely... Hope people's days are going well - here if you need to talk xxx Nay xxx

Hey KL
Sorry about anya's sleep pattern - she's a treasure!! When little man's on 3 meals a day you might find he settles for longer naps... here's hoping eh?

Don't be sorry, it's fabulous for you. little man sleeps through (touch wood) and gas done since very young. Also only ever got up once and never cried, I knew he needed feeding because he laid sucking his hands - bless x
