Had quite a settled night (due to diaz me thinks!!) but actually felt quite refreshed this am! Havent had that sort of sleep for ages, a really long time. However took J to nursery this am and as soon as we pulled up outside we had tears and I even stayed for a while but he was upset bless him, it just rips your heart strings. Came away feeling like big bad mum, it is a really good nursery but I worry in case he is really not happy. So now I feel like s**t again.

Told Jay my PND story, does anyone else look back at the peak of their illness and think "was that really me??" just thinking what I told Jay, I cant believe I came through that! ?? A year ago this month it was at its peak and I hit rock bottom. The only way is up girls with this vile thing!

Just saying Hi,
I read your PNI story. It seems so horrible that we have to be so ill, and we have this awful thing for so long. When all we wanted to do, was to bring a little new baby into this world.
I am so glad things are getting better for you. You deserve it, you are a very kind person, who cares so much for others.
Thanks for all the support you give. Jay xx

I'm sure the crying at nursery thing will pass - it's a guilt trip designed to make you want to take them home again (or run screaming from the building depending on what day it is!)

Hi Ladies Update....not too bad, carried on with the reflexology, anyone who gets a chance have it done it is very good and really works.
As for evil Edna she is quiet at the mo, had some thoughts last week like how do you truly know when it is over??? I feel like I may be looking over my shoulder for a while just in case!...Is that normal??
Just being good to myself whenever possible, which I think is really important in recovery.
So not too bad at the mo, knackered still but some things never change!......xx

28/5 Not too bad at the mo, P due this coming weekend so looking over my shoulder for the evil one that is Edna to appear!!! Thankfully she has been quiet lately. I have been at work and doing ok, J poorly again due to the teething, so he hasn't been sleeping very well, so me & OH knackered. Had a little episode of anxiety last night was just watching TV and felt it creeping up on me, did my best to ignore it and tried to sleep and it passed, thank God! Thought I was heading for blip land again, which somehow seems a bit scary after a pretty good run for quite a while..........we will see...fingers crossed PMT week doesnt throw anything nasty up xx

Hiya H PMT week not sooo bad! This week OH had nasty bug (delightful D&V) URGH I thought I was going to get it but just ended up tired, achey and weak??? That was fine tho cos I didnt want to end up as bad as he was!! J teething etc not sleeping through anymore and will only stop crying when he gets in our bed but then still stays awake for another hour (not good at 3am) Needless to say bit tired and ratty and not much patience, really could do with just some nice peace and quiet! does that sound selfish? Had J all day and although he is 17 months nearly the terrible twos have kicked in! Took him to the park today which was lovely but then he was getting tired when we got back in and he has this new habbit of "clawing" at your face when he cant have his own way or giving you a slap - nice - the joys of motherhood. Bless him I know he doesnt know any better but sometimes it is so damn hard isnt it? Dont get me wrong it does have its rewards though and its hard not to laugh at his mischief when he gives you a big cheeky toothy grin! Only symptoms today are tiredness, and face ache has made a return! Not had that for a bit! any advice on the slapping/ clawing at the face/3am waking up business would be most welcome girls! p.s tried the controlled crying thing to no avail........ ? Knackered PMT fed up JO x p.s having a good old moan today- sorry girls but everyone I know is on hols at the mo and I could just really do with a lovely sunshine breaK ..aaaahhhh! Oh well dream on baby!

Hello Well PMT week wasnt so bad after all, just a bit crabby as I was on my previous post so sorry about that girls, I was having a good old moan wasnt I!? Not to bad at all really so lets hope this keeps up! But really how do you know when it has truly gone? ?..do all the symptoms leave you? ? or am i just being naturally wary and looking over my shoulder? when do you fully relax, safe in the knowledge it is never going to rear its ugly head again??? Any answers much appreciated!

I so want you to be better.
It has to gain your trust, the bigger the gaps between blips, the more trust you will get. And then you will just realise you have manage to do things, without problems. And without realising it, it will be gone. Jay xx

Re the slapping and clawing thing. The older one has a naughty step and DVD's taken off her. The 20 month old gets sat down away from me on the floor or her hand tapped (she bites!) The sitting down thingy works better

Thanks Ladies for your replies. Jay you are so lovely and I want you to be better too, IT WILL COME!!
Sianyc - yep the sitting down on the floor does work but then you feel guilty that they cry, but they have to learn dont they!! Just hope it is a stage and he quickly comes through it!

I'm immune to the guilt inducing cry I used to feel a bit guilty with the first but it didn't take me long to think exactly what you said ...... they have to learn Crying just tends to bug me rather than make me feel guilty anyway I have my fingers crossed that he gets over the stage quickly x

Not having too bad aweekend despite the fact I have had to work in this lovely weather! Me & OH went for a belated anniversary meal on Fri which was very nice ( at one point I used to be terrified of going in such a place, a lot to do with the PND when I first got it and couldnt eat cos I thought it would choke me, the tension in my face and throat was that bad) anyhow nice time was had. J stayed at his Grandparents and came back today....along with his tantrums 17months and the terrible twos are here!! He doesnt do it for his nanna and grandpa??? Anyone else have this problem?
