Hiya Susanne I just wondered how you were getting on - how's GJ? xx ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, I've been getting ready for back to school tomorrow- think I'm getting there. Going to make a nice lunch and then tea can just be a snack... The weekend mornings are getting better - my two played until about 9.30 in the Nursery ..and then my daughter came in and told us 'lazy bones' to get up!! It catches up at the weekend, when we're working we get up really early..uughhh!!It really is painful. I bought Night Nurse last week when I had the flu - wow does that knock you out. Hubby says it's the same strength as Port, lol So anyway, that is a big improvement on 6.30/ 7 am - makes such a difference! I am chilled out today - hubby has gone shopping (again) he enjoys it really and has just bought himself free view for his room (whatever free view is??). In the play room I've got Sky and this internet connection - my two essentials in life!!! He cannot touch these! My son didn't wake last night - amazing. Gave him back his old blankie he had as a baby, but also changed the type of bedding - and kept him up late - so who knows what did the trick??!! Anyway, I have rattled on long enough here now. Hope your Sunday is going ok? Hopefulxxxx

I hate sundays, i find them so boring and i hate the thought that monday is tomorrow!! Back to school and rushing around for swimming lessons/brownies etc after school, then having to think up things to make for tea......... i much prefer saturdays. lol. We've been down to robbies mums for a cuppa today and his sister fed nathan his dinner, its so funny when she does that as it goes everywhere, he had spag hoops with sausages and it was up his nose and everywhere else, she's only 12 bless her but she wants to be the 'helpful' auntie....... she's great really, she does help out alot. We've come home and my kids are watching Nanny Mcphee in their room and Nathan is zooming about in his baby walker shouting ma ma ma ma ma, not sure if he's saying mama or its just the babble thats coming out of his mouth!! lol Wow all 3 are happy and content at the same time, this must be a miracle!! lol
When robbie comes back, he's just nipped to his mates house, i've got to go and do the dreaded food shop!! He offered to go but i thought it would give me a bit of time without the kids! yay, thats terrible isn't it? Anyway tonight i think we are gonna get a dvd as i think the tv is crap as usual?
Hope your all well today?
Loadsa love

Hi Susanne,
I meant to ask, but didn't - is GJ any better now?
And Sarah, hope you're ok? Living by the coast must be fantastic - what sort of coastline is it? Do you walk? I just love coastal walks so much!I like the outdoors generally..in fact..
Anyway everyone, just called in to chat a bit. I needed a bit of a light thread. I hope everyone is ok?
I was disappointed that it was raining today, as I have started to love walking again..hopefully tomorrow the weather will be kinder..
Busy day again tomorrow, can anyone recommend a good book for taking your mind off things by the way?? That would be great. I am just reading one called 'the rise and fall of the yummy mummy' which is actually described as being about 'the dark truths or motherhood' (maybe even PNI)?? But it is light and humorous - an easy and funny read in places. But true.
All is well here really, I am looking forward to the weekend. In fact I'm popping in to see Elaine Hanzak to collect my new Virgin Vie makeup bag of goodies. I have already tried some and it is really nice stuff. I can't remember the last time I bought blusher, lol! I thought it would be a nice treat for work (and of course I need it!!)
Nothing exciting planned this weekend otherwise, but don't mind that at all. Anyone else?
Take Care anyway HopefulXX

Hi all,
Just been catching up with the chatter. Hopeful, where i live is very beautiful, its the north east coast of scotland and its full of little (redundant) fishing villages all the way along it. We are 60 miles north of Aberdeen and 60 miles east of Inverness. I'm not an outdoors person at all!!! i HATE the cold with a vengence! lol. and its always so bloody cold up here (in fact we have snow again today) even in the summer it still only just warm! we always always have a north east wind. We live about 5 mins from one of many beaches but the sea is so cold that i would never even contemplate going in it! Although the kids here love it, they all go in with wetsuits on!! Its very picturesque and if you like hills and distillerys then this is the place for you, we also have alot of castles up this way. Not my cup of tea but then again i'm convinced my body was destined to live in a hot vibrant climate!!! lol
As for books, i LOVE reading, its my favourite hobby. At the moment i'm reading Further under the duvet by Marian Keyes, its very funny. Also on the back burner in case i'm not in the mood for that one i've got Jeremy Clarksons book, can't remember the name of it offhand but its all articles that he's previously wrote for newspapers and its very amusing if you like him and his opinions!?
anyway, its somehow now teatime!? (how'd that happen???) and i suppose i'll have to go and rack my brains to think of something to make! god don't you just hate deciding what to make for tea?
Take care all,
Loadsa Love

Oh just remembered, BAM speaking of pay rises, it was in the papers today that if we had to pay someone for all the jobs that a mother does in a day, it would cost £25,000 a year! Sounds like we need to start campaigning to actually get paid for this mothering lark eh girls!!!

Yeah Sarah!
i think the childcare - picking up and delivering kids will be abig part of it!!It makes even the ladies with the best jobs thnk long and hard about having children. My chest consultant has jsut had one mat leave and is preganant again!!! Quick an older mother! But she was saying it would cost her £1000 a months at least in Nursey fees!! She will have a good wage-but even she see's it affecting her life!!!
Will have to cut back onthe partying!! I expect!!lol!

Hi I agree, we should get an annual salary with bonuses - LOL - when they sleep through, learn to walk and then to talk... And yes sarah, I get fed up of making meals too!! Netty, hope all goes well at the weekend - why do partners always behave 'shocked' at food bills/ number of bags etc... I thought it was just mine - maybe it's a man thing - LOL!!! Lots of love HopefulXXX
