Great news about your contact with APP bookwormprincess!
I'll be at a course they are running in Birmingham next week - so looking forward to meeting other women who have been through PP journeys...
Hugs, N

Hi Naomi,
What course is that in Birmingham, anything interesting? I'm only 45mins from Birmingham and & would love to meet other PP sufferers.

Would be interested to hear how the course goes and what you learn about PP. Wish I was nearby to go to.
Will let you know how my appointment with Dr Ian Jones goes. Really looking forward to getting some expert advice.

Hey bwp
So glad you can get a chance to see Ian Jones - he is a real expert in the field and worked closely with Jackie Benjamin who was the person who set up the APP network after suffering from PP twice herself. I'd be really interested to hear how it goes for you.
Lots of love Naomi x

Hi Naomi, I'll be sure to post a thread about my meeting with him. I just can't believe my good fortune about being in Wales at the time he offered me an appointment. N x

Hi lovely people
If anyone would like to be interviewed about suffering from PP, what information they were given and what helped them to recover please do get in touch with me by personal message.
The interview would last about 40 mins and a researcher or peer-interviewer (me!) can travel to your home to chat to you. The aim of the interviews is to help produce an advice & info website for mums & families giving tips and ideas from real people who have been through PP.
Lots of love Naomi

Hi Naomi,
I'd be more than happy to be interviewed. I am also hoping to take part in the Universities of Birmingham and Cardiff's Research into Mood Disorders - I was unable to decipher from your previous posts whether you are involved in this or not? My contact at Cardiff is Bev Attfield. I will e-mail you my e-mail and contact details - I am so eager to provide any information that might help even one new mum to recover quickly and fully from PP.
Hope to chat soon, Emma x

Hi again Naomi,
Your e-mail is not on your profile! What is the best way for me to get in contact with you?

Hi Naomi, I'd be happy to be interviewed for a website. That's a real worthy cause since there is so little out there about PP.
Emma, I've taken part in the Cardiff Uni research too. It was really simple, a hour interview, a blood test and a questionnaire. Another worthy cause.

Hi Naomi,
Yes, that goes for me too. I'd also be more than happy to be interviewed.
I'm from Warwickshire & also took part in the APP research but it was based at Birmingham Uni.
Let me know if you need any more people,
Love Axx

Hi Emma & Angela
Sorry it's taken a week to reply! You can either personal message me on here to let me know good dates for interviewing and your preferred venue, or I've PM'd you my home email address.

oh and PS for Emma - yes this research is linked to the Uni of Cardiff Mood Disorders as Ian Jones who is the prof there is hoping to host this web information through the APP (Action on Puerperal Psychosis) group which he set up when he worked in Birmingham. His ex-c0lleague in Birmingham, Jess Heron, now works for the NHS in perinatal research and got the funding for the interviews and website development (hooray!) and that's how I got involved. Bit convoluted eh?! Sorry N x
