Just to keep you all up to date. Kim and Steve are both in the hospital at Cambridge which is unquestionably the best place for her to be as the baby is so small. They took her in this morning for the C-Section and then decided against it - the doctors are hoping that by giving her high dosages of steroid the baby may have a growth spurt. They are taking scans every hour and then making a decision on whether to deliver or whether to allow baby more time. Kim said "I'm in a bit of a bubble", but under such difficult and frightening circumstances sounded remarkably strong. She did say that Steve was finding it very difficult - he has been allowed to sleep in the hospital with her as they are keeping her, for now, in the delivery suite. She wanted me to update you all so that when she gets back in touch with you all there are not endless questions about what happened, why and when etc....
She has not called this evening so I will text her and if she replies I will post again here. PLEASE don't panic all! She is being incredible and I am so proud of her today. I know she knows that all your good wishes, prayers, thoughts, love and hugs are with her and let's hope that our collectively these arrive in Cambridge to give her much strength in the coming days and weeks.
My love to everyone and thank you Helen for the call of concern this evening - sorry it has taken me a few hours to get back on to the computer to let you all know the latest news.

Kim just text me again to say she is still on the monitor and that she has now been moved to her own room on the post natal ward - Steve and the delivery staff are not happy about this. I text back that at least she has her own room and privacy and can maintain a bit of dignity. If she gets back in touch this evening I'll post again.... I have also let her know that all of YOU have been sending prayers, thoughts, love and strength her way...... e x

Kim has just text me again to say that she has just come off the monitor and all is good. The Midwives are letting Steve stay so long as he keeps a low profile. She wont need to go back on the monitor until the morning and in her words, "all three of us are much stronger and happier". I'll keep posting as and when she lets me know more..... x

Had text exchanges with Kim. She will be monitored over next couple of days with plan to deliver the baby over next day or two. Baby is 29 +1 today but still only size of 23 weeks due to problems with placenta. She is feeling more positive today having met come children who were born at 24 weeks.
Have passed on our love and thoughts once more and she knows to shout should she or steve need anything. She will text to keep updated with what is happening.
Love you Kim x

Hey everyone,
I've just spoken to Kim for about 40 minutes and she is in really good form. Her and Steve have been through an emotional roller coaster but they are strong and united. She will be having another scan tomorrow and will let me know the outcome, but so long as baby's heartbeat and oxygen levels remain in range then they will delay delivery for as long as possible. I don't know how to express how together she sounded - having spent lots of time in the last year speaking to her regularly and meeting up for our morning coffee time I really can hand on heart say she is more than okay. She said that the messages of support and love have meant a great deal and she does have access to Facebook on her phone if you wanted to message her that way.
She may well be in hospital for a few days or a few weeks or longer - right now it is not possible to say when baby will arrive and if they do let her home it will be because things have really stabilised.
We had a lovely conversation and even laughed a few times, so again, I'm just so proud of her and to be able to call her my friend.
Love to all of you, Emma x

Kim has just text and is in good spirits still. She has been moved to the anti-natal ward and Steve has found accommodation on site so he can be with her for the next three days or so. The baby is moving lots and the doctors are happy.
We are off out for the rest of the day but when I'm home again this evening I will update you all with any more news.
With my love, Emma x
