Thats amazing, I am so pleased the osteopath worked, you must feel fantastic. wonderful. Have not said but quite taken aback about you post a few days ok about the mouth injury for your son. That is my worse nightmare and one of the reasons I avoid hospitals and HCPs since I have been ill. As I have said before the more I learn about you the more in awe of you I am.
Will log on tomorrow and see how your day has gone

Hi
Am so pleased for you. It must be horrible being in so much pain and amazing being pain free! Long may it continue!
How is your son? It's awful he's getting so stressed by sats - perhaps it's worth speaking to his teacher about this.
Take care
Monica

Wanted to add that I took my youngest when he was a baby to cranial osteopath for horrific colic and wind. At the first session I was a bit sceptical as she seemed to be gently rubbing his head and I thought I;m paying £35 for this, but the next day he was a completey different child - at and slept and no colic whatsoever!

Kat, what happened to my son at hospital was about 7 yrs ago now and I have to say that thankfully things are very much different now. Although I have to admit if he has an asthma attack I still take him to the doc first as they will give him a nebuliser whereas the hospital wait until he needs oxygen as well Because of what happened to him back then I actually drove all the way to Luton with my daughter when she got something stuck in her nose, they were brilliant there but have to admit it was a bit dramatic really. Jason has been in hospital overnight a couple of times with his asthma too and they are generally very good now in Watford. Monica, thanks for the info on your son. I noticed that osteopaths can do this sort of thing and think it would have worked wonders on Jason had I have known back then. Guess where I'm going if this one gets colic. I think they can also do something about asthma, I might have to ask next time. This morning I have an ache at the front of both thighs a bit like I've been excersising. I suppose thats what it is really as she was moving and streching my legs a fair bit yesterday. Other than that my back etc seems ok for now. Didn't get the best nights sleep, still finding it uncomfortable but I think thats more the belly than anything else.

Hi Giz
I had chiropractor treatment for my pelvis injury after a RTA and I used to really like the ache because it felt good the next day. Apparently anatomically it is because they have put everything back in line so all the big muscles of the back and pelvis/thigh can relax in to their normal positions. Its a good sign.
I am starting to find that I am moving less easily in bed at night as well

OMG what a week and I'm still convinced there is school tomorrow, must put a note on the door, seriously. Jason had his SATs this week, and it has completly knackered him and me for that matter. We decided to go to legoland on Saturday with my parents as a good start to the week. Very long, hot and busy day. Both boys came home with heat stroke and I came out with it in the night. My daughter was the only one to survive it all which is odd considering she doesn't drink much (think the novalty cup helped). Got a great pic of my Mum, OH and the kids on the log flume, they all look terrified LOL. must try and scan it. Joey has been a nightmare, nothing new here. She really played my Mum up Tues night when we went racing. Seems she found a broken decoration she made with clay, ground it down and mixed it with water then covered her cushion, pillow, covers and herself with it. Mum went in to check they were asleep and found her and half the bedroom covered in green clay She then asked me the following day how to make fire? Umm like I'm gonna answer that question, I think not. Jason over slept on Wednesday, well, when I say he over slept what I mean is he got up at a sensible time. All hell breaks loose when he sleeps in coz that means he can't fit in a good session on the wii before school. He really doesn't understand that getting up at stupid o'clock everyday is eventually going to catch him up. By the evening he was shattered and complaining of sore throught, tummy ache, headache and nasty cough. So I had to take him into school Thursday and tell the teacher I was collecting him after his test. Thankfully they were ok with that and agreed all the kids in year 2 were slacking and feeling unwell. Thursday afternoon then turned into a tour of doctor surgaries. OH hasn't been all that well for a couple of weeks. I won't go into details coz he won't thank me for it. But long and short of it is he ended up having to leave a message for the doc who asked him to come up to a second emergancy appointment. My day consisted of ... drop kids at school, go to shops, pick up OH from work, drop him home, pick up Jason, lunch, take OH to docs in Bushey for appointment which was at same time as I had to collect Joey from school in Sth Oxhey, pick her up, go back to docs for OH, over to chemist, drop OH and Joey home, take Jason to docs in Carpenders park, back to chemist, home, make dinner, sort out baths and kids to bed and practically pass out. Makes me dizzy just reading it back. Come Friday Jason was back to his usual self and I have been totally knackered. It's also been over 25 degrees today and far too hot for me. Tomorrow I'm taking a friend to an NCT sale in Harrow which she has just told me her hair appointment is earlier than expected and she honestly thinks we will get in there on time dash round and get out and home in less than half an hour. Does it notice she's never been to an NCT sale before The ones I went to when pregnant with Jason we had to queue well over half hour to get in. On the plus side, I have been telling the kids that soon baby will be able to hear them talking and today the baby was wiggling while Jodie was reading to me, then stopped at the end. Could be co-incidence but it worked to tell her anyway. Oh yeah and both kids have moved up a reading level today, that was good they both did otherwise Jodie would have been on the same level as Jason and I'm not sure he would have been happy about her catching him up just yet. Right going to bed, but one last thing, it's been over a week since I saw the osteopath and I'm still fine ;D

Thanks Juppster I'm hanging in for a peaceful Sunday at the moment. Right now I'm absolutly shattered and my bath is ready so I won't type for long. The NCT sale was brilliant (does it notice I don't get out much lol). I ended up going through twice as I ran out of hands and had to unload. I got a couple of velvet sleepsuits, 1 with bib, a beautiful thick fleecy coat, sleeping bag, denim dungarees, a really soft white blanket, Tomy baby carrier, Mamas and Papas bouncer with vibration and sound, nearly new bumbo seat with tray and a Graco 3 wheeler buggy. Including paying to get in twice it cost a total of £60 ;D This on top of my recent ebay crib for £15 I think I'm doing rather well personally Cats are well impressed with the bouncer, think we could have a jelousy problem arising here

Yes it was quite busy, I grabbed the bouncer and bumbo a baby grow and coat and found myself unable to move so I had to pay and come out, wait for my friend to help me get back to car and then I went back lol. Missed out on a few really nice play mats and they also had some decent high chairs and prams too. Looks like the next one is end of November so good job I went back in really. Hips been a bit uncomfortable today but then I've been in the car alot. Other than that still ok

Brilliant about the pain, guess its such a relief to you. Would love to go to a NCT sale, but they scare me too much - cant cope with crowds at the moment.
Are you enjoying the weather, have you felt your baby recently?
Do you have a scan this week too?
I am currently booked for my section on the 30th September, bit odd having such a clear date, did not have one every before

I think the peaceful Sunday was wishful thinking. Started off feeling really drained and far too hot but OH had decided he was going to get on with some stuff regardless of how bad he was feeling and managed to rope the kids into helping as well (mind you he did end up paying them. lol). I was talked into getting on with jobs too. Really didn't feel upto it. By the afternoon OH was feeling fed up as well where he's not well, the kids were shattered and Jodie managed to start an arguement which escalated throughout the whole flat. All in all I felt put upon, really upset and by bedtime everything he said angered me. The heat is getting to me big time, it was over 30 degrees yesterday and is the same today.
The baby seems to be responding to Jodie's voice which is really freaky but also quite nice. It was wiggling like mad when she read her book the other day and then stopped when she did. (I may have already mentioned this not sure). My scan date is on 1st June so another week to go yet. Handy though coz the kids will be on half term so can come with us.

How lovely you can feel the baby so well and it can hear Jodie, guess it will be really attached to her once it is born. Kids will love the scan I am sure, S loved going last time, this time he is less interested wants to see his friends.
The heat has been hard, I am a sympathetic friend yesterday, who kept standing up for me, love her. Yesterday, it was nearly too much for me so great empathy, looks cooler today.
Not surprised you and your OH are finding life difficult, not sure what is up with him but whatever the cause of the illness, it is such a battle to keep going and really tests you. Children, sort of let their emotions hang out and I find that difficult to handle when I am tired and drained - so understand.
Hope yesterday was better and today even more so.
How are your plans going for the delivery, you said about not wanting to have a epidural. I have an appointment with the consultant anaethetist to discuss analgesia, I bet you could have one too if you ask at your next hospital appointment, you can then when you are well and it is not urgent talk about the options and plan, not that it is likely to happen.
Look forward to hearing how today goes
Kat
