I have been having terrible problems with sleep either wide awake at night getting to sleep fine and then waking up often with Night mares at 3.00am and struggling to get to sleep knowing I have to be up at 7 to get to school or probably as a consequence of that falling asleep from 10- 2 in the day in between school runs to enable me to function (Not every day but at least once a week). I do have voluntary work two days Monday and Friday and some other days if they call me in - but can just do them. I have been keeping a track on www.moodtracker.com/ and it looks like a mountain range! I want to tell my Cpn as I have become worried can affect me and sleep deprivation is a trigger for mania. But she is off sick till at least middle of next week. I am taking several tablets so its probably a balancing act. Other wise I am doing OK and getting on with things. For general info I am lucky in that my kids are 16 and 8 so they are not contributing to this, I have no excuse of tiny babies or small children. I just think its a bad habit I have and its hard to crack.

Hi bam, I find that I must take my quertiapine (my antipsychotic) at the same time roughly every day. I found I forgot it once and had a very bad night until I remembered I had not taken it and took it. I agree sleep is so essential to stop relapse. When I started to notice a bit of a problem a couple of weeks ago I got very strict with myself and make sure I take my drugs at the right time, I also brought myself a dosset box ( plastic dated pill box) so I could check where I was up too.
So hate the nightmares it's one of the worse bits for me.

Thank you you remind me I wish I could remember the buggers at night. No wonder I am on a mountain range with tigers and night mare things in the way.
