I have sent you another email with your old password and username as I reset it back
I really do not know what is going on as I logged in fine on 2 PCs mine and Cajas and also my old laptop, using your login and password
If it does not work for you this time it can only be your PC???
I do not know what else to suggest other than you register again and see it this worked and if it does I will transfer your settings to that account
Thats all I can think of as it all works for me this end
All the best

Just noticed that Wendabell says earlier it can happen when pc says 'too many connections' and my PC just said that, so my PC is just playing up I guess - Hx

I have come back downstairs and found I can get in. So, just to say that if anyone gets a connection problem like this ie. PC says 'too many connecting at once', hang on a while and then login again. If no luck this first time, then you may get in if you login a second time..even though you are 'in' but on as 'guest' if you know what I mean - let's see now if this comes up as me when I post? It does, just checked. Thanks Hopefulx

Strangely all these guest posts show themselves as being an hour behind when they were actually posted!

Hi Hopeful
This does happen to people from time to time - as you can see it happened to Fran above.
It does not seem to be caused by the actual forum going wrong - more individual has got corrupted on the database., often this does 'right' itself but not..
As said this often seems to happen when you try to log in when others are trying to do this - the reason for this is forum seems to be in and , I am a programmer but I know to know that these technologies especially, only allow one action at a time, so if someone is trying to do the exact same thing at the same time as you, it will either not work and you get the 'too many connections ' message....
This does mean that two or more people can look at the same thread or post, in fact probably as many as 100 can, but if they were to click on the link to see that post at exactly the same time and their connection to the server be of a speed that the server tried to the same information at exactly the same time - then you get the too many connections message.
The chances of this are not that high but it does happen if a thread or post is popular or just so people want to read it, and their are a few on the forum - it is coincidence that two people are trying to do the same thing in the same ( or more likely second)
But in sensitive like login in it can get mixed up with someone else login in and things get corrupted.
Anyway after this long and too detailed - and I understand it well - their is something I can try.
If it does resolve itself in a day .....
- I think that sometimes the server restores itself with a backup database if it detects is in its data and then goes back to normal.
If you send me your login name and password I can reset your password.
This normally works
All the best

Well thats all I can think of - that unfortunately you were login in when someone else was doing the same. 14 logged on last night?
Yet it seems a bit quiet in terms of actual postings?
I think this can only be that the forum gets read but people do not always post Anyway send me your details and I will try to reset your membership

Thanks Veritee Have sent you the info. Yes it was funny, I came down and there were 2 guests and at some point during my failed log in attempt the number rose to 14. Having said that I misled you - there were 14 guests (not logged on) so perhaps a number of us did click on the same post at the same time? Thanks for getting back to me Hopefulx

Thanks for re-setting Veritee , I'm in for now and I'll see how it goes..
Yes, I'm sure many people must just come on to read. As I say, there were 14 last night at one point and 10 early this morning if my memory serves me correctly. Sure you know all that!
Thanks again.

Hi Veritee and All,
Oh dear, but not to worry, I'll post as Guest for now. I'll ask BAM02 to keep me up to date with anything I need to know from the mods section. Please AM would you do this?
Many thanks, Hx
