New Forum Categories Trainee Moderator

We have decided to add a new category of membership, that of Forum Advisor, and trainee Moderator:

Trainee Moderator

This is simply because being a moderator is for some people not what they thought and not really for them. This is no reflection on the person is is just that it is almost impossible to show people what being a moderator means unless they try it, and this role does not suit everyone at every stage of their life or experience of PNI.

Being a moderator on this forum if you do it properly is more of a commitment both emotionally and time wise than many realize and also while it is still possible to use the forum for your own support, if you are a moderator the dynamics of doing this changes as members and even myself and other moderators have different expectations of you


- so we want to offer a trial period of 3 months so prospective moderators have a chance to find out if this really is the role they want on the forum - a chance to try it out - and in 3 months become a full moderator or realize they would they rather go back to being a member.

If you were a trainee and decided that this role was not for you , this should be no reflection on you - it is just being a moderator is more than it appears to be from the outside.
