Hi Everyone I discovered that if you put links on your site for items that Amazon sell using their associates programme - your site gets a small cut on every link clicked!! see associates.amazon.co.ukIts only pence but I thought I'd have a go . I thought what I would do is start a Christmas wish list which we can all contribute to. I have put mine on as an example - I can just put text links or pictures and if you have a huge list you can have a whole page to yourself. Use your imagination as you do not have to really expect any of these things - I think we get some money for our web site per click to the product on Amazon - So let your imagination run wild! You never know if you give the web address to your wish list to your rich aunt - you might even get the pressy you want The idea is that you put on this thread what you would like for Christmas and I will list it on our Christmas wish page. You can direct your partners, hubbys, friends and family to this page if they want to know what you want for Christmas and if f Amazon sells it I will put a link to Amazon. So far there is only my own list as an example and a few general links to books for men women a Christmas . But I had to laugh when I put in the word ‘women’ to find general books that women would like and it came up with this link: www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/sim-explorer/explore-items/-/0007154216/026-1984699-9354844And a few others in this vein.... I was wondering if this search facility was written by a man??? The link to our Christmas List Wish is: www.pni.org.uk/christb.htmLet me have your list ! . Just an idea - if no one wants to do it that’s OK - just trying things out All the best Veritee

Hi Veritee
Looks like a good idea - I always buy everyone a book as a stocking filler..but I can't work out how to start my own list on this link :http://www.pni.org.uk/christb.htm - or do I need to go to the Amazon main site?
Thanks, Hopefulx

Hi all You can not do the list yourself - you have to write the list here and I will do it for you as I am the member and I actually have to write the web page by hand with the links in. As to' Eyes without Sparkle' If you want to buy it and send a few pence our way. I have put an Amazon link to buy it through us on this page: www.pni.org.uk/book.htmI too hope you all get over PNI soon too All the best Veritee

Haha I wouldn't mind that book! The Kim Cattrall one I mean! hehe I could just imagine my Grandma's face when I opened it! hahahahahahahahaha
I'd like another chocolate tasting kit from that shop at Alderly Edge, I'd like a new pair of knees, some new hips, and no more monthlys! haha I like some new clothes but I'd need a diet to go with that, and to be out of debt, with a new pair of boobs! Not sure this is the sort of stuff I can easily buy!

Hi S
You reminded me - I was outside of the school gates yesterday and I heard a group of mums talking about another mum (they talk loud enough for everyone to hear, I wasn't being deliberately nosey) and they said that this one mum had been to the GP and was diagnosed with PND and because she was so depressed had been given a boob job on the NHS, lol, wished I'd thought of that one! They were funny because they said the same 'God, who isn't depressed afte birth, wished we'd thought of that'!!
I am still compiling my Xmas list as I didn't know Amazon had so much to offer
Hopefulx'

Hi Hopeful
I have entered your Christmas wish list - it was a bit more fiddly than I thought but I think I've got the hang of it now,
I think I will leave this section in throughout the year and people can add things they want to buy form Amazon
Also if you do not list an item you want individually on our site if you click any 'buy now ' link to Amazon - we still get some money
Because I bought a completely unrelated book the other day and a small percentage went onto our web site payback account - I think about 1p - but its a start,
Anyway if anyone else has something they want , even it you do not know exactly what it is I can put a link to the category , for instance if you want DVDs for Christmas, you do not have to say what one exactly , I can put a link to the DVD section and we will still get something if someone buys it through our link.
All the best
PS Not sure about the The Kim Cattrall book - a friend has threatened to buy it for a laugh though

I've got a TV in the kitchen - would not be without it I just wanted to apologize as I just looked at the links further down the page The ones listed under 'Books For Women ' are mostly sex manuals and I want to assure you that this sis not what I intended. Using the Amazon system for making these links I did a search for 'Womans books' and then put he links on the page without checking out what the books were ... I now find they include titles like 'Lowdown on Going Down, The: How to Give Her Mind-blowing Oral Sex ' and if you click it you get more like this or more explicit. The Art of Kissing by William Cane is quite tame as a title but another is even called 'Tickle His Pickle! by Sadie Allison Gosh!!!! Sorry All I can say is the programme used to make the links for associate sites much have been written by a frustrated man ...... who is desperate for more participation form his partner..... Sorry about this - I am torn between leaving them in for a laugh or trying again. I have to go out now but I will look into it later ATB Veritee

Also forgot to say that anyone can click any link to buy from our site and we get a small%
It does not have to be your wish list - we will still get a few pence if you buy it from absolutely any purchase that came via clicking on a link on our web site - so If you click my link to an ipod , decide you can not afford and Ipod
( well I cant either, this is a wish list and no one is going to buy me a video ipod)
And then you navigate from there in Amazon and decide that you can afford a small MP3 Player from Amazon costing about £30 - we still get a percentage of the cost of this MP3 player - so just use our site to buy anything form Amazon and it will help fund this forum and web site
