i have found that at certain times (especially when im on a down) that my bllod sugar fuctuates a lot - ive had this checked and its not hypoglaecemia- but the symptoms are quite similar and come on quite quickly: sweating/hot flushes shaking lack of concentration sugar craving/ food in general feeling dizzy etc and i usually have to eat loads to get my blood sugar back to normal! this has been helped since ive began to exercise and use the wonderful pro-gest cream (i really should stop plugging this as im noit getting paid advertising fees! ;D but this always comes back when im on a downer. wondered whether anyone has similar experiences? love to all gail xxxxxxxx

Hi Gail
I too had very similar symptoms - the hot flushes were awful - something to look forward to in menopause eh?! I would skae quite badly when I was trying to get to sleep sometimes and this fatigue left me very muzzy headed and confused so could hardly concentrate on much.
I too had the dixxiness when I got up or laid down - felt drunk most of the time (i wish!)
There's an older thread that list someof the sympstoms a few of us at the time were having ...here it is ...http://veritee.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&n=1&thread=1359&page=1 Might reassure you a little.
Some of mine was due to aneamia which complicated the PNI physical side of things as my blood levels were'nt right. Were you anaemic at all?
These do pass - but it does take a while if I'm honest. The term Post Natal Depression really doesn't cover it does it?!!

Yeaah, I've been feeling that way and didn't know why! I'm was Anaemic before and sometimes I think I drop back into it with not eating. I also get hot flushes and sweaty but I thought that was just because I was nervous. What is Pro-gest cream?? xxx

hi ladies! would just like to say that these symptoms have greatly improved since i began to eat more regualrly -before i get a chance to even get a pang of hunger - there is something called the 3 hour starch diet: i think this is the thread: veritee.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=Journal&action=display&n=1&thread=4916&page=10 so it does improve! before it was as if i was constantly eating, but now ive got into a 'habit' the 'wonder cream' is progesterone cream -and was very effective for me, although it doesnt work for everyone. i was loosely following the recommendation of dr katharina Dalton, who studied the effects of progesteron for much of her life - im reading her book called 'depression after chldbirth' which is v. good. love gail xxx
