Lump behind my ear - any ideas!!!!

Hi everyone
Now I know this is probaby not to do with pni and is just me panicking but I've just noticed I've got a lump on the back of my ear by where it joins onto my head about helf way down. It's quite painful and I definately dont have one the other side. Being my usual hypercondriac self I am now panicking.
Anyone got any ideas what it may be?? Can you have a ganglion on the back of your ear - I have one on my finger since having Chloe on one of the joints and it sort of feels like that but it huts when I press it (must stop pressing it to see if it hurts!!!!!).

Hiya marion,
Yes i myself have one of those lumps at the back of my ear, when i keep pressing it it gets sore and larger for some strange reason i also have a lump inside my gum line i have it since i was pregnant with the babs. I went and seen my doctor about both lumps and he said they were harmless cysts which was a big relief, but if your still worrying i would go see the doctor about it.

Thanks Michelle. That's reasuuring - will see what it does this week and then next week got to make a gp app for a rpt presc so will see what they say then.

Well done Michelle - diagnoses correct! It is a cyst and I've got some anti biotics and cream for it.
