Each time I feel good I start to dread the next time I feel bad, as it is now seeming to move in cycles. For the last few days I've been feeling horrendous. Extremely dizzy, sleepy, tingling head and can't think - does anyone else have difficulty in being able to think properly- I mean really unable to access information which would normally come easily? Or any ideas to try and get out of this?..it's unbearable! The only blessing with feeling so sleepy is I don't feel so anxious! Hope you are all having a better day xx

Yep - I agree with that one! It's just extremely bad at the moment, like a semi-concious feeling, disorientated, feel very weak and totally not with - it's really not nice, and scares me, as a wonder what on earth is wrong with me - feels like my brain isn't working properly. Am going to go to the docs. on Monday, as I can't hack this much more, although I'm sure they'll just say 'haven't got a clue, and you've had all the tests under the sun'. It is as you say a bit like you're mind is totally pre-occupied with something, but you don't know what it is - sure it's probably a load of negative tosh (there you go! a negative about negatives LOL!!). Went to the supermarket tonight (was making spaghetti Bol.) and had to go back in, as we forgot the vital ingredient Still, tomorrows another day...............xxxx

Hi
I had the spaced out feeling (that's what I would describe it as for me) really badly. I was confused, couldn't get any of my thoughts in order. I can remember not being able to boil a carrot when my son was weaning. Even now, that's almost uncomprehensible to me, but at the time I just couldn't. Forgetfullness etc are others.
The antids helped hugely with that, but I still get it now. Had a bad day yesterday, felt really foggy but seems better today. I was told this is a typical symptom of PNI.
How are you today?

Not too bad today thanks Monica. Very dizzy as usual, and notice that I'm not breathing hardly at all which I am sure really doesn't help!!! LOL but I can't concentrate on breathing every second of every day. Getting enough oxygen to stay alive anyway Have just booked to go away for a couple of days at the weekend, so that should help to shift my focus from obsession with the physical symptoms. It's really nice to know that someone else has felt so 'out of it' and survived! thank you so much for posting!! Three and a half years on, I've had enough of feeling so incapacitated, so will probably go back on medication which I have fought to stay off for over a year - but being able to function is the most important thing. Sorry to hear you had a bad day. hope you are having a good day today - how long have you had this thing? xxxxxx

Hi
Just had a thought. You know if you'e not breathing properly for instance if you're panicky and taking short breaths, maybe that's a contributing factor for the dizziness? Hav eyou mentioned it to your dr.
I attended a fab PND group and they try to teach you how to breath. I rad somewhre that kids breath properly - ie using the stomach so they maximize the in breath. In this group, they spent alot of time using relaxation techniques. I foudn that lying down and placing one hand on my stomach and the other on my chest and taking a long, slow breath so that you feel your stomach go up. Then releasing slowly.
Might be woth a go.
How are things with you?
I'm fine. Quite tired and that makes the spaciness worse. I've ntoiced, though that if I go to aerobics, it really gets rid of it , so been to a class today.
I've had PNI for 21 mths. been on tabs for 17mths and starting to wean off them. Seems to be going ok, but don't want to speak too soon. This are ok and although not completely better, I'm enjoying things again. And if that's as good as it gets, well that's ok, too.
Where did you go for yoru weekend? did you have a good time?
Monica

Thanks Monica Had a really wonderful weekend thanks, about an hour away from where I live. The weather was amazing, and was just like being abroad, I even went on a boat, which I'd normally be petrified of doing, as I thought I'd be majorly dizzy afterwards (increased motion). Really chilled out and started to feel pretty good! Then......back to the norm.. The thing with the breathing is being able to notice it happening, once I have, then I can put breathing techniques into practice, but unfortunately I think my breathing is bad a lot of the time, at least every time I stop to notice!! I've done a lot of meditation and stuff like that, but can't focus on 'good breathing' every minute (although it would be a damn sight better than all the other things I find to focus on!!!). It could well be related to my dizziness, but doesn't make it go away when I breath well Hope you are feeling less tired now. It's fantastic that you are able to go to aerobics and do things that you enjoy - good luck with getting off the medication. I did the same in August last year, and am still surviving without them xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
