PNI and Stress

How do you know the difference???

I've felt "out of sorts" since my sons birth over a year ago. My first Edinburgh score was high but after some traumatic birth counselling HV decided I was OK

Now I'm back at work (been back over 6 months) its just getting worse. I feel like theres so much stress on my from all angles and I feel out of my depth.

PNI or just plain old stressed??

Perhaps a bit of both hun? I would go back to HV/GP and tell them how you are feeling and see what they think. I think PNI is a long journey with lots of blips, and some of these blips are definately caused by extra stress.

Thank you. I called my HV last night. But I don't really know how I want to take it from here. My hubby was very supportive when I told him how I felt yesterday (by email - have been trying too long to talk to him).

Last night he decided to tell me that hes depressed too, I'm not sure if its just because the family environment in unhappy too or there really is a problem. But he won't get help and right now I don't feel strong enough to fight for him too. He obviously went through my traumatic labour too, perhaps more than I did (I was smacked out on pethidine & then morphine). I felt I had to have the birth debrief on my own but he didn't fight for one too. But now hes saying he wants one (and we've moved out of the area).

I tempted to not bother with this appointment. I feel like if I deal with my own problems I'm obliged to sort his out too and I just can't do it.
