Jaw (teeth) and headache after meds?

Hi All,

It may well be that I have a sinus infection or the dreg end of a flu virus - but each afternoon after I take my pill in the morning (fluoxetine) - I have been getting quite bad jaw/ tooth/ headache. It tends to wear off late afternoon.

I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this as a side effect - or whether it is maybe simply something else relating to the winter weather.

Well this is interesting

As others have reported 'face ache' as being a major and upsetting symptom

And what is interesting is you have not had it before -

but do now since you are on (fluoxetine) and that for you it starts a few hours after taking the fluoxetine.

It could be interesting to know if Joanne and others who have had this are on the same medication?

It could of course be a sinus infection.

I did not take medication but when I had PNI I had something similar which for a long time I put down to PNI - but it turned out to be an old injury to my sinus which had caused matter to be trapped. But it only got infected when my immune system was down due to the stress of PNI. And was eventually only cured by an operation on my sinus's.

So if it goes on I would investigate this as well.

But it would be interesting to know if others have had anything similar and are on SSRI medication

I had a major headache down one side for the first few weeks of taking fluoxetine. I still get it now and again when I am stressed a bit more than normal. Never had them like this before the meds either.
