Crikey the video made me cry!
It was nice to read about Kelly's experiences with anxiety and panics for me personally to see that you can get through it with help. Gonna save that video to show OH later

This is a really good awarenes raising programme without being either too superficial and sensationalist or getting too heavy and personal. If your partner needs an introduction to PNI from a credible source - try this.

Lovely Links Has anyone got in touch with Kelly on www.myspace.com/postnatalillness to link up over the awareness weekend? I was thinking of doing this but please feel free to contact her too. Really Great Idea the You Tube video!!!!! In fact I was actually just sitting here trying to figure out how to put the Mad for Arts thing I did up on on YouTube to use it to promote the weekend - This film is here: www.madforarts.org/films_first.htmlor www.madforarts.org/video/Veritee_56.ramBut if you or anyone else can do a more up to date you tube video to promote the awareness weekend - Please, please feel free to do it ( I have not used YouTube yet but I am sure I will figure it out - the problem is that the 'Mad for Arts' thing I did is in RA - Real audio' format which is not that easy to convert as RA put restriction on it unless you pay for their software - but I will figure it out. But great idea about a PNI video on UTube done by us!!! Would you scarlet be prepared to take it on - or if not perhaps anyone else with any footage or ideas could post it to you for you to coordinate and put together - we could have more than one video on You Tube Lovely idea - but as my PNI was so long ago as was my 'Mad for Arts' PNI video and I am no filmmaker - even of the mobile phone video kind, it would really need you or someone else to take it forward and it would be great if someone would. All the best Veritee

Just had my thinking cap on, and thought that instead of video footage, perhaps we could have a 3-4 minute video with a song in the background (any ideas for the song welcome? ?) and show lots of photos, with maybe some artwork (the scream comes to mind here), quotations, thoughts, PNI info, and of course the logo and details of the PNI awareness week, and also whatever anyone else can think of (open to advice/tips/offers ) I did check out the Youtube instructions for uploading a video and it looks double dutch to me , I don't have a camcorder (not that a video of myself rambling on about PNI would be very entertaining)...but I could try and compile something from bits and bobs that are sent to me, when I've read the instructions again and digested them...

It is a great Idea - i. e photos plus music in the background with the PNI awareness logo - just great! The scream seems really appropriate - I take it you mean this one? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Scream as he actually did a few versions but this one is great I also have an original canvas by an American artist which is called 'bad thoughts' I could scan it in as it really does suit the bill which is why I bought it a few year ago ( no I am not rich enough to by original art I was just lucky and was able to by this one canvas that I could afford at the beginning of her career) And I maybe can do this - did an HND in multimedia a bit back so while video filming is not my bag I can put a vid presentation together - happy if you want to do this as I would really be grateful if someone else would take it on as i am overstretched - but happy to do it if no one else can Perhaps women who want to contribute can post images to go into such a video on You tube to our group email address; pniorguk@veritee.org.uk and then we can work out who does it and what images to use . I have a program specifically designed to convert most vids and images to video to be posted on You tube - so if anyone wants to take this on I can send the program to you ( my problem with the 'Mad for Arts' thing is it is in RA ( .ram format) and the program I have will not convert it or post it to You Tube - but it will convert any vids made into .avi or quicktime .mov etc and those made with windows movie maker .wnv - everyone with windows has this program So we could start by collecting images to put in this and get them sent to : pniorguk@veritee.org.uk and then if anyone wants to put something together in windows movie maker - it would be great if you can have a go - we can then post on the images and then you or I can convert it and send it to You tube. What do you think?

Sounds good to me..
Veritee, maybe we can ask everyone to put forward a suitable song for the video and we can all have a vote.

Also,
I could perhaps convert your .ram to a .avi (so it can be posted to YouTube). I have lots of multimedia software on my computer....not that I know how to use most of it though *winks* but I'll certainly have a look, cos I'm sure it can be done. Will get back to you..

Oooh can i put my vote in for coldplay's `Fix you', that is such a PNI song..
Sounds fab to me. I am not very computer literate so prob not worth me offering a hand at this stage, as it happens I am gonna help Yoyo with a bit of the recipe book and setting up the online donations service so prob a bit pushed for time too, so sorry cant help right now, but it is a brilliant idea!

Veritee check this site out for converting files without having to download software... I've just had a look and it may be possible to convert your MadForArts vid easily. www.zamzar.com/you can convert almost anything into pretty much anything else - document, audio and video files.
You type in an URL or upload the file from your computer, choose the format you want it to become, and enter your email address.
Zamzar emails you a link, where you can download your converted file. Scarlet X
