Sorry, but I need some help about Ballet!!
Does anyone know of any good internet site for lovely ballet costumes and shoes? Also, does anyone know how I might go about finding out about ballet lesons?
I did check the Thompson local but with no success.
Thanks, Hx

Hiya Hopeful, You can usually find out about ballet lessons at your local library or church. I did find out about my daughters classes in our local phone book, but I know the church has posters up etc. As for the costumes you can buy them through the classes. They usually have someone who sells them once a month or again you can look on Ebay, which would be alot cheaper! I kitted my little'un out in all the gear, through the class which cost a small fortune, but well worth the money seeing her in it. Brings a tear to the eye!....good luck...Love n hugs Cinders xxx

hello i might be able to help there. Have you tried the royal acadamy of dance web site as this is where i got the adress for my local rac school for my daughter. She has been doing ballet since she was 3 1/2 and is now 6 1/2 and loves it and has just done her first exam in primary class and are awaiting the results. No i tried looking in the thompsons but had no luck. The web site will give you an idea of what they wear but might be a bit pricy. Soft practice shoes are the most important and are around £10. the dance skirt that they eventually need is about £15. The leotard is about £12. I found that the rad is the best for dance but there are plenty of schools that teach.Sounds snobby but it suits us and its fun with the disaplin thrown in and she lives for every saturday morning with no lie ins so it must be good. For bryony we pay £40 per acacemic term which is not bad really. hope this helps

hello hopeful, did your little un like her ballet gear. whens her first lesson. oh and word of advice satin shoes are very pretty but get dirty and worn very quickly. You can also get the soft leather ones which are the same price and you can clean them with soapy water( which for me is an every week thing now) and they wear extreamly well and she will out grow them before they wear out.But aw i bet she looks so cute in it all. thinking of you wendy
