I know this sounds silly but can anyone think of activities for a 6mth old? We've fed the ducks, gone to the library, gone for walks, read, sung nursery rhymes, done the housework together (Chloe especially likes changing the bed!), walked round town and post letters! I need inspired ideas of how to fill my day so time goes quicker and I have less time to focus on my symptoms! Thanks everyone Marion.

Hi Marion,
I don't really have any ideas for you as i struggle with this one myself!!!! I go to a mother and toddler group?? don't know if its something you would do? i never thought i would go to something like 'that' (all snobby mums sitting gossiping, LOL) but i actually quite like it now and although you do get the few mentioned above they are not all like that and i've actually become friends with a couple of girls i was at school with!! I also do the things you have mentioned, library, walking, housework etc etc and it can get tedious can't it?
Anyway if you get any good suggestions, maybe you could pass them on??

Hi
This is a good thread - I'm struggling to think too!! As Sarah says, my list would have been like yours Marion...I know both of mine have loved the library since they were really little.. Feeding the ducks is also a favourite as we live near a river.. And I sometimes find myself doing housework just to pass the time of day!
Now that my second is a toddler, all he wants to do is race around the house and be chased...very repetitious and tiring, lol!
Sorry I haven't got any more ideas.. HopefulXXX

Hmm a tough one.... One thing i know petey loves is the ball pits! We bought a blow up one and he LOVES it! Is there a play centre near where you are where you can take her to play in one?Or go buy a blow up one from a toy store? Just a thought Love Nat xxx

That's a good idea Nat - and I did, even when ill, manage to drag myself along to the play centre around the corner. Great as my eldest could run all over and the baba sat in the ball pool and I had a cuppa! Usually not expensive eitherxx

Hello there.
I am a playwright, working on a play about Post Natal Illness for a UK regional theatre and am collecting experiences as part of my research. I wondered if it would be possible to have contact with sufferers who would like to share parts of their experience - particularly those who have experienced OCD or obsessive ruminations. These experiences would not be used directly - they are there to help and emotionally inform the story that has already been written.
As this is such a sensitive subject, any phone interview, postings or email contact would obviously be discreet and confidential. I hope you can help.

Hi Marion,
Nathan absolutely loves swimming, i would really recommend it. Yeah our pool seems to have daft times for mother and toddler sessions too but i've found that on days when there's going to be swimming lessons the pool is quite a bit warmer than it usually is??? so maybe you could try different times of the day/days of the week??? Just a suggestion?
Have Fun
