Hi Everyone,
Thought I might resurrect a thread YoYo set up last year – which really helped me!
It was about music that helps us through the day, if we feel up to listening…
What helps you? (If you like listening to music)
I have really varied tastes, depending on my mood, but some of the following helped/ help me with PNI/ when down etc (no particular order):
I bought Coldplay’s ''X and Y'' on Angel’s recommendation and it’s brilliant ('Fix You', in particular)..
Shania Twain/ ‘folk/ country’ music (if that’s what she represents, think it is)
Norah Jones ‘Turn me on’ (but her whole album is great)
Joni Mitchell ‘Both Sides Now’ – have most of her albums ‘Big Yellow Taxi’ is also great 'feel good track'
Carpenters ‘Close to you’ (my daughter and I – it’s our song)
Van Morrison ‘Have I told you lately’ and his upbeat stuff
Good old 80’s classics (well, I am 36 this year!) - inc. Take That!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
R&B
The Beatles, in particular – ‘All you Need is Love’
Neil Diamond, lol!! Love that man
Fleetwood Mac – all of it is great, live in concert album recommended
HopefulXX

Not really a music listening person but I did buy Jose Gonzalez 'Veneer' - does that guitar song that's on the sony advert with the thousands of multi coloured balls bouncing down the street somewhere in America - only thing is I cant listen to it as it makes me cry!!!! So sensitive - I cry at any vaguely slow and sad songs!!!!! Marion

Westlife does it for me girls, although like marion if i'm feeling remotely down or sad then i end up in tears!! but maybe thats a good thing? My gp (who's fantastic) said to me once when i told her i cried all the time " sarah that is your way of coping and if you need to do it, then just do it" so now i have her words in my head when i want to cry. ;-) Amazing from westlife's album Face to Face is great.

Hi Guys
I loved this thread last time, for me at the moment if i'm feeling emotional then it has to be James Blunt Goodbye my Lover it is just so sad, then if i'm feeling like a shout and stuff then i put Guns and Roses Sweet Child of Mine on really loud and sing along. Lastly if i feel like i have too much energy or even the need to help with this sponsered slim i get out the really sad songs that you can do the dances to at the moment i love the Cha Cha Slide by Dj Casper and by the time i've danced to that and some of they others i'm exausted.
