Hi Clare.
I've been on this since bout dec last year and went up to 40mg a day about 2weeks ago. When it went up i felt awful. Same simptons as you. I even asked the girls the same question in my own thread and they were very helpfull.
My simptons only lasted for about 4days and now it's not to bad. See how you go in the week and if your still having problems then talk to your doc towards the end of the week.

Hi Clare, I am on Fluoxetine at the moment they recently increased my dose so i am on 2 twice a day. A day or so after the increase i begain to feel real dizzy (and even fainted and fell down the stairs). I constantly felt hot (asked my doc she said it dilates the blood vessels on the surface so makes you feel hot and sometimes even sweaty). I still have hot flushes now but the dizzyness stopped after about two weeks and my anxiety has lessoned in the last few weeks. If you are unhappy and feel that the symtoms are not decreasing etc then talk to your doctor...I did and found her very useful. Take care Anita

Hi Clare.
I was taking my meds at different times in the day as i would forget(you know how it is with a little one around) and i wasn't feeling all that great. Spoke to the doc and he said that it's best to take then around the same time every day. So i have been and i'm fine now. Not having any problems on them now. Can't say that there really working for me but having no side affects now.

Hi Claire,
I had side effects i had constant headaches for a week and constantly felt dizzy and hot, but eventually after a couple of weeks the side effects subsided and i felt much better.
They worked well for me too....infact i only recently came off them
