The problem is the dates used for national insurance claims i.e IB and job seekers allowance are based on stamps two years before - but not sure exactly how they work it.
My friend across the road can't claim IB and just has credits paid for her pension and has done for years. She lives with her partner and can't claim anything else in her name because his wages are taken into account ( she is not married either). But they do get working families tax credit because of her little boy - can you get that?
You will unfortunately have to mention your boyfriend to claim income support in your own right and its likely if you don't they will visit you to find out your status (even same sex couples have to claim as couple now). if they don't visit and they find out you will have to pay it back-so I wouldn't risk it.
Unless you live apart there is not much else you can do?
You could ask them when they take your national insurance stamps into account what cut off point they have used?
You need to go to see someone like CAB and get some help with re scheduling debts.- if they help and can explain things are making you ill it might be useful.
I am sorry not to be able to say any more. You could try for some Disabled living allowance as that is not national insurance based - but you probably would find it hard to get more than the low rate of £15 a week if that. Its a difficult benefit to get. I would ask the CAB.
Its not easy - finances really impact when you are ill.

Hi
I'm so sorry about this. Pni is hard enough without the added stress of debts. Don't know much about this other than to suggest the citizens advice bureau, like anne marie, but if a listening ear helps.....
Love
