hi there
just looking for a bit of practical advice folks.
when jacob goes to my mum in laws he v rarely gets a nap unless she takes him in the buggy somewhere. For example the last time he was there, last friday, she said don't bring the buggy cause we are staying put today as she was maybe expecting a friend over. i thought fine, i went to collecthim after 4pm and he had not slept all afternoon! he is taking 2 naps a day and his last one had been in the morning. she said he was falling asleep in his highchair, wee soul must have been knackered cause he never does that with me! but he had a biccie and she did not want to leave him sleeping in his high chair with the biscuit otherwise she would have just left him to sleep in his chair?
anyway if that had been me i would have taken him out of chair and rocked him to sleep but she won't do that due to her bad back, bad knees, arthritis and any other thing she can moan about!
he quite often never gets a nap when he is there which of course makes it doubly hard for me to deal with an overtired baby when we get home or if he goes for a nap when i take him home he is knocked out of his bedtime routine.
sorry to moan but we all know how important their sleep is and what it can be like if they don't get it, i mean he is a very active awake baby and hard to get to nap but there are ways of doing it and i am afraid she will just need to rock him etc if he is to get a sleep at all. i am just glad i am still off work so he doesn't need to go there too often especially for a whole day he would be needing matchsticks in his eyes.
any advice on how i can approach this|?
