Hi Hannah,
i'm currently weaning too and finding it difficult finding tasty recipes. We eat alot of curries and things that aren't yet suitable for Nathan. The other day we tried mixed veg (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots) with boiled potatoes all blended together with grated cheddar cheese and a small amount of milk just to make it more smoother, and he absolutely loved it. Usually he hates carrots but he ate the whole lot. so that'll be a firm favourite from now on and we actually tasted it and said we'd eat it ourselves so thats a bonus too! I hate giving him things that we wouldn't eat ourselves.
Anyway don't know if thats any help to you?
Loadsa Love

Hiya If you do a google search on weaning you will get some sites that spring to mind (ones I can recall are cow&gate, babycentre) Also if you type in annabel karmel you can get some recipes from her on line for free! Try google..if no luck come back to me and I will find the links nettyxx ps I just cooked dd salmon & potatoe!!

I've got a few baby feeding books and have to say the one I found the easiest to follow was one by Lorraine Kelly. It's £4.99 including delivery at play.com www.play.com/play247.asp?pa=srmr&page=title&r=BOOK&title=342507I scanned the "six to nine months" section for a friend of mine - email me if you want me to send it to you - vantastic@tiscali.co.uk I still do some of these recipes for my little one now, just don't mash them anymore.

Apple and pear mashed up is supposed to be nutrious for little bubba's as it contains lots of vitamins and sounds scrummy too! I also like the sound of Shepherds Pie! I cannot wait to start making baby food! Lisa xx

Hi Guys
I too had the lorraine kelly book and i also had another book that i found had excellent recipes in and told you exactly what food they could have at what stage.
My favorites were things like turket casserole and cauliflower and brocoli cheese but like i said both books had lots of really good recipes.
When i get a chance i will put some of them on here in a seperate thread.
Take Care
Angel

Hi Everyone,
I used Annabel Karmel's book. Not sure about the Veal Stroganoff (??) but they both like the Shephard's Pie and Tuna Pasta bake (same as you said Susanne, use crisps!!)
But I would like to see the Lorraine Kelly book
