So when I am ever in need of help I always come to you guys! This may seem a wiers one, but as a woman who works with men all week and the only female i ever see is my 20 month old daughter, I need a bit of fashion advice!
I am out with the girls at the weekend and was wondering what to wear. I wanted to wear some black leggings with a sleevless black mini dress and some boots. My knee highs are brown. Can I wear brown boots with black leggings?
Sorry for sounding dim, but i really am crap at all this!
Love WG x

I had to consult hubby on this one, He's really good with this sort of thing. Our immediate impression was the brown boots would look odd with all black however, I then showed him your photo and bearing in mind the colour of your hair you might be able to get away with it, especially if the dress is plain enough to put a brown belt with it. This probably sounds even stranger but if you had a fairly thick brown belt worn slightly loose with a plain dress I rekon it would look pritty good. Also had to say just how jelous I am that you are able to wear, leggins, mini dress and knee high boots. I would love to be able to go out like that.

Hey WG,
My mum alway's told me never to wear black and navey together, and never wear black and brown together. Something she got from her mother i guess, so if it was me i wouldn't wear them but don't go on just my say so.
Hope you have a lovely time and just remember, if you have any dout now, you might feel uncomfortable on the night and you wouldn't want that to ruin your night.
Luv Behappy xxxx

Sorry to say WG but my mum, and my gran for that matter, say - never black and navy and never black and brown! (mine too behappy)
HOWEVER, if you look in the highstreet and the mags black and brown are put together nowadays. I think it sounds fab if you ask me. I reckon it kind of depends on the shade of brown too. You get away with darker browns and I reckon the belt idea from Giz sounds gr8 too.
Let us know what you decide xxxxxx

I wear leggings alot with long tops/ girlfriend tops (probably shouldn't given my weight/ age, but hell, why not!). I wear black, black and black - maybe just adding colour with scarf or earrings.
I quite like the idea of brown and black together - esp. Giz's idea of brown belt.
But I wouldn't take my advice, lol as my friends describe my dress sense as 'quirky' (euphemism for strange? ) lol!
You'll look fab whateverxxx

Thanks Girls!
Yeah i was thinking with a brown belt too! I saw someone with all black and leggings with brown boots and they looked fab, but I am a size 12 on the bottom these days (hence the fashion probs - cant fit in an of my old size 8!) so sont want to draw too much attention to my butt!!
Thanks for the advice girls, I know I can always come to you!

By the way Giz, the hair is bright red now so perhaps should have gone for red boots! LOL x

Awwh WG you will look stunning regardless.
I reckon the brown and black sounds good tho. I would do the same. As for the size 12 bottom I'm sure you are exaggerating! You will look gorgeous.
My size difs are top half, I've got big tits. My size 8's just fit round them. Worse not I'm breast feeding. I often get called dolly parton lol.
Have a nice night.

Trust you to go change your hair colour and I was going to say I saw someone at a party today with same colour hair as you (no more) wearing all black and brown boots and she looked really good, she was also with another friend who had black leggins, brown top and boots.

Oh giz thats great! So i wont look like a dipstick, its secretly fashionable! Wont like such a loser in front of my mates then who all dress impeccably and are all high flighers. One is an Actress, one an accounts manager, the other a barrister! I am a transport supervisor which basically means i get to play with trucks. I stand out like a sore thumb with this lot!
I will be able to tell em that black with brown is the new `thing'!

Like this WG? Looks good to me hun (wish I had legs like hers... ) I've never heard of the black and brown, or black and navy rules. I've heard that white shoes and black tights, don't go together..although I saw a few wearing just that at the local discos years ago
