The Wisdom Trust is a relatively new organisation – a registered charity which aims to simply create a wider awareness, all over the world, about the important issues of poverty, the environment and world health, and then to raise money to support other charities and good causes working to relieve poverty, protect the environment and improve world health.
In fact, half of all The Wisdom Trust’s income is set aside for donations to other charities and good causes. The other half they use to enhance and expand their own education programs.
What can you do to help? Well apart from widening your own awareness by learning something new on each visit to the website (including their daily eco-tips and health-tips – simple things you can change in your own life to help make a difference) you’ll be able to help choose the charities and good causes supported from The Wisdom Trust’s donations fund, and you can even nominate your own favourite charities and good causes to be added to the list of potential beneficiaries.
Any registered charity or other ‘not-for-profit’ organisation can be nominated, then all the members vote online (every day if they wish) over each three-month donations period to decide which charities get a donation and how much. So a charity with 10% of all the members’ votes over that three months gets 10% of the fund at that time. So, as a member, you’ll have an important influence in deciding which charities are supported.
Plus you’ll be able to earn money for your favourite charities – both the ones you nominate and any others already on The Wisdom Trust list – by using The Wisdom Trust’s unique loyalty scheme attached to their education programs. Quiet simply, you get awarded points (known as Fundraising Credits or FC’s) when you use the education programs to learn more for yourself – the more FC’s you accumulate, the more money you’ll be able to claim from the special Members’ Fund for your chosen charities.
Finally, if you shop online, you can earn money for The Wisdom Trust’s donations fund every time you buy something. The Wisdom Trust incorporates a shopping mall of over 1,000 shops and stores, including Amazon, Tesco, eBay, Marks & Spencer, Viking Direct and Boots (for example) and gets an automatic donation for everything bought through the website from any of these stores. And your own chosen charities get a small extra donation too – for everything you buy. It’s simple, effortless fundraising without any extra cost or inconvenience to you.
But even if you don’t shop online, there are still several other ‘non-shopping’ ways for you to earn money for The Wisdom Trust’s fund (and for your own favourite charities) without having to put your hand in your own pocket.
So, click on the link below and sign yourself up. It’s completely free of charge and the registration process will take you no more than half a minute. And you won’t be plagued with spam or other emails. The Wisdom Trust sends out a short weekly email newsletter – but you can even opt out of receiving that too.
And then once you’re registered, you can invite all your friends and family to join too – using a standard email like this (available through the website). The Wisdom Trust needs more and more members to help earn more and more money for charities and good causes. This is all about ordinary people achieving extraordinary results – and the more people using the website, the more awareness we’ll all create and the money we can raise for worthwhile charities and good causes all over the world.
Here’s the link and I hope you’ll join soon. It’s a great opportunity to help do some good all round the world, with very little effort. And you’ll be learning something too while you’re doing it.
