I think you need to have a quiet word with your OH hun. If you are pregnant then you will have to tell him anyway and like you said yourself the coil will have to come out and this will most probably increase the risk of a miscarrage. I'm not trying to upset you but believe me this is something you just cannot do alone and you will of coarse feel so much better being able to share the possibility of a new baby with him right from the very start. It will no doubt come as quite a surprise to him.

Do the test hun. You are gonna drive yourself nuts if you carry on in limbo! You will just keep playing all the `what if' scenarios in your head and there is no point until you know what he score is. You know we are always here for you hun x

Right girls, I'm going to have to do it. You are all right its killing me.
i keep feeling damp and thinking here it goes I've started but nope. I have this sort of damp discharge which is somthing else indicating it. I had both times.
An yep Giz I'm going to tell my OH what I have been thinking. I mentioned it to a close friend at playgroup on fri and they said the same as you guys. Maybe its a false alarm but the sooner you know the sooner it can be sorted out.
I'm going shopping 2moro. I'll get one then. Let you know as soon as.
Thanks girls, I really appreciate the support xxxxx

Hi girls.
I did it!!
Its negative. Thankfully.
BUT I read the leaflet while I was waiting and it said that the contraceptive pill and an IUS can give false results.
Is this a false negative or a false positive?
I feel alot easier about it now but still a little apprehensive. I'm due another period in about 2 wks. So I'll just wait and see. U think?

I think it's a negative hun, by now there would be some hormones in your blood that would pick up a positive. Maybe you are a wee bit irregular, which is understandable with PNI and the stress you have been under. Give it a couple more weeks then hun, I should....

Yeah i think it means it can produce a false positive as opposed to a false negative. I think you can rest your head a bit now babes x

Cheers girls. I feel more confident now.
Thinking about it rationally I'm sure it must mean a false positive due to the hormones from these things surely.
As you say Scarlet its maybe just the stress and pni making it all to pot. I remember when i went thro my exams at uni and school for that matter my periods went all bizzare. Must be that.
Thanx for the support I can breathe again lol

Glad you feel relieved. Just like th eother girls said try again in a couple of weeks if you don't get a period just to be on the safe side.
Take care
