Hi Ladies Our event is a walk across the Humber Bridge on Saturday 3rd May at 2pm. We have Debbie Lindley in attendance and also local news crew and possibly radio stations too. As agreed by Veritee, our profits will go to House of Light, to enable our service to continue, but remember that we are all raising awareness of a vile horrendous illness and we need to break that needless stigma so others will come forward for help. House of Light contact details can be found at www.pndsupport.co.ukJo xx

Hi Ladies Just to let you know HOUSE OF LIGHT had a fab day yesterday walking across the Humber Bridge, we had a fantastic turnout - mums, partners and little ones, and although we havent finalised figures we have raised over £1,000 for our charity!! We also had ITV weather presenter Debbie Lindley in attendance - if you google "calendar news" and click on the yorkshire reigion, you can see some of our ladies walking across. We also released 40 white balloons in recognition of the 40 women that commit suicide through PNI each year. It was very moving, but also good to see the ladies we have supported who were there and have made it through!! Well done to all the others who raised awareness too xx Jo xx

Glad you got some awareness for PNI but just interested, how did the £1000 get raised ? was it donations or sponsorship?

Good idea the sponsoring of individuals if you get enough and sounds like you did...
Bit like the Cancer thing going on at the moment - just for women. Very Clever, but I guess they have the big publicity possibilities. Not that I don't think they deserve it, but there are so many smaller causes that never get a look in, and I guess we are all after the same recognition. Its hard....
But well done you... Keep on the good work.

Thanks ladies! I tell you - Karan and I are so passionate about our cause of helping mums with PNI and getting the message out there regarding what it is really about that we will stop at nothing.
