Everytime I'm feeling or have felt down there was one thing that helped me out.....music. Bon Jovi is my fave (not everyones cup of tea) but hlped me to get through some very tough times.
Does anyone else have anything that helps them get through their tough times?

Hi Anita, Yes - music is great therapy - especially if played LOUD! We have a couple of threads here about how music has helped people. I like the Cold Play album When I felt well enough to leave the house - power walking. Distraction - anything - cleaning, writing, ironing etc. Cooking - trying new recipes and at one stage made lots of soup and batch cooking for the freezer.

Hi Anita,
For me it's hairdressing. I completed a course a couple of years ago but haven't had a chance to do it for a job yet so I am always up for doing peoples' hair. It makes me feel like I have done something real and productive if that makes sense.
Can't think of anymore at the moment but I'll be back if I do!

Yeah - Coldplay's `Fix You'...
I find doing my coursework helps as it makes me feel like I still have a brain and i get a buzz when i get the assessments back from my tutor praising my work. (sad I know)
And of course, that trusty glass of vino...

Cooking - like Hopeful I fund batch cooking helped to pass the time and made me feel better for having done something good for my family too if that makes any sense
Getting out of the house and going somewhere with the kids - shopping/park etc. Anything that would kill a few hours

Getting out and about, loud music, being pampered, watching a good movie, girlie chatting with my friend, shopping, cooking I hate it, but it is a distraction, reading a good book that I can really get into, oh and did I say shopping xx
