Hi all
My LO is 10 months old and not crawling or walking yet. This is great cos she just sits and plays at the moment but we went out in the graden today and I was at a bit of a loss as to how to amuse her.
We don't have any garden toys for her yet cos we were waiting for her birthday. I thought I could bring her blanket and toys out and she could sit on the grass.
Once she is crawling though is she ok on the patio? Should be ok on the grass but the dog pees on the grass so not sure about that?
Grateful of any inspirational ideas!

Hi Nicola, I did blanket and toys too - and with my second was a bit more laid back about patio crawling and grass eating (we have cate who use our garden!). I'll tell you what else worked well - a pop up tent full of toys with a tunnel etc. Means they're also protected from the sun x

Hi Nicola
We dont have a garden but an overgrown patio so LO kind of had to crawl on slabs or nothing! (poor kid) Wasnt great on her knees though so only took her out in thick trousers! But in other peoples gardens and at the beach etc I would use the blanket and toy thing and she never came off it - so def give it a go!

Ahh poor little bean WG! Having said that most of the houses I grew up in were dilapidated so I can imagine my crawling efforts were like that indoor and out!!

Remembered another idea - but it may depend if your wondows are reachable outside - window painters from ELC are great. Keeps them occupied for ages and rinse off easy enough

Oh yes - also remember my two as little ones enjoying having the bubble machine on outside (can get battery operated ones from woolies)

We got some bubbles in a party bag the other day and I did them in the garden which LO liked. Am crap at blowing them so will look out for a machine that does it for me!
Shockingly my MIL had a good idea and suggested a big bowl with water in it and then throw cups and bath toys in etc for her to splash about with as she is just sitting at the mo.
Am intrigued by the window painters though - we only have patio door that is reachable really - but will have a look at them too.
Thanks!

I want some window painters too! ( i think more for me than LO...) I have a bubble machine that broke. But for £2 from Sainsburys I have a hand held thing that looks like a normal bubble solution but with an attachment on the top that you pull back with your finger and it lets hundreds of bubbles out! It was a damn good investment for £2!!
