I know I have read that a few of you girls get chest pains.. just wanted to know what yours is like?
I get dull pains in my left hand side and then sharp pains and sometimes a pain further down in my rib... also it can spread into my arm. I also get an ache and shooting pains in my breasts
I get them everyday at the moment has anyone else had that?

I have had that but not regularly, very rarely in fact. But everyones pains are different. For me it was more like it was actually my heart (yes, convinced myself I was having a cardiac!)
I do often get the pain that spreads into my arm though, and I dont like it, but i have always put it down to stress and anxiety...

Hi there, I get a fair amount of chest pain. The first time it happened I thought I was having a heart attack, and I was driving at the time! Now I know it is tiredness and stress, but it doesn't make it any nicer. Its usually a tight pain as if someone has turned on a vice around my torso, and I have to breathe in small breaths as breathing right in is too painful. I have been getting terrific pains going down arms and legs, too. Again, as if the top is being totally constricted, and its a burning tight pain all down the leg/arm, it goes really heavy and I can't hold it up. I mentioned it to the Gp this week, and he is sending some bloods off. Does this match with you at all? Motherferret (Ali )

I dont really get the pain down my legs *touch wood*lol But i get loads of burning pain in my chest, upper back and neck as well as the chest pains Its so annoying. I have had LOADS of blood tests in the last 20 months and scans etc and all come back fine. my DR says anxiet can cause these burning pains because your muscles are being worked hard. Let us know what your blood results say ? xx I am so with you on the vice thing round your chest, its horrid isnt it this illness really is awful

Hi, Thanks. It'll be a while before they even get taken. Let alone come back. Its not that I don't take it seriously, but I, also, have had armfuls of blood sent off over the last three years....all fine. This time he said I might need some hormone injections for a few months. I am on Day 56 of an alcohol-free life; he thinks I may have damaged my adrenal glands with 23 years of steady drinking. Not sure how much, or if it changes back. or if its buggered. Wait and see, eh. This illness is SO horrible. You don't even know you're in it until you are too far in to get out. Ali

God I had no idea you could damage your adrenal glands through the drinking. I have drank every day for about 10 years, quite excessively until recently, and never even thought about damage like that. What a wake up call!
