WG - great idea...a diet diary.
Not much to report at the moment as I have only really been trying for the last five days. I'm just trying to cut out the crap at the moment and do a bit more exercise. I tend to weigh myself in the morning (not every day) and meant to this morning so will do tomorrow morning. I was 13st on the nose at the beginning of the week and am hoping that with all the sweating I have done this week to have shed a pound.
Will report back tomorrow x

Hi WG,
Yes I do....I have to be living on lettuce usually to lose any weight. I am on 2000mg of metformin although given that I have been feeling highly stressed around ovulation I have decided to cut it down to 1000mg in the hope that my pms will be less severe. To be honest with you the metformin are really only regulating my periods at the moment (which is good) but are not really helping with hair loss so I probably don't really benefit that much from taking a huge dose. Hopefully though I will be on enough now to help with weight loss.
I weighed myself this morning and I have lost a 1lb which is good. When I initially weighed myself though it was later in the day and I had eaten so I am hoping that this is real weight loss and not just an empty digestive tract. Anyway a lb is a lb so I'm gonna carry on this this way and see how I do over the next few days. I have to admit that I am not craving the sweet and and fat stuff so much now. Hopefully it will have an effect on my mood as well!

I am on the metformin to mate.. My new GP didnt want me to have it as it is not approved for PCOS in the UK but having had it from my old GP when trying to conceibe I knew it was for me so refused to leave his office until he agreed to let me have the presciption. Sat in there for half an hour and then he caved - lol.
I am only in 500 mg as that is all he would give me - not sure how to get round persuading him to give me a higher dose..
1Ib weight loss is good!! All loss is good! I would happily lose a 1Ib a week...

Hi All,
Weighed myself this morning and have lost another llb. That's 2 so far. Still got a long way to go but heading the right way at least.
WG - my doc. wouldn't prescribe me Metformin and I was referred to an Endicrinologist (they also deal with diabetes). Can you have a referral to a specialist and then your doc. will have to prescribe it. Failing that can you change docs? If it's something that you feel you will benefit from it's worth it.

Not much to report other than I have had a good day food wise and got a long, knackering walk in so hopefully when I weigh myself in a couple of days I will have lost again.

Weighed myself this morning and have stayed the same. A bit annoying as I really thought I would have lost another pound but will weigh in again in the morning and see how I have done. I know I shouldn't weigh myself too much but I can't help it!!
On another note, thanks to Melanie30, I have found a Homeopath in our area and am going to make an appointment to go and see him. It's mainly for depression and anxiety but maybe he can give me some advice on weight loss as well

Well at least your peek at the scales didn't show you'd put on 2lb like me! Don't understand it as yesterday's peek showed I'd lost 2. I too can't keep off the scales each day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. It's terrible, because my mood is often dictated by whether I've lost or not. I know I shouldn't do it.
Hope the homeopath can help you.

Well.....weekend was not the best for food. I ate healthy where I could but went to wedding reception on sat night and they had a warm buffett. It was lurvly. I just thought bollocks to the diet tonight. The last time I had a night out was last November so it's not a regular occurrence. Yesterday I sort of got back on track although ate a few too many biscuits. Weighed myself this morning and I weigh the same so thankfully haven't put on....phew!! I am determined to shed another pound this week. I'm feeling up for it!

Ok....weighed myself this morning. I always do it first thing in the morning after a wee and before I eat or drink anything. I usually just have pj's on or something light. I also tend to weigh myself a few times as scales usually aren't right first time. First attempt said 12st 11lb. Second and third attempt then said 12st 9lb which I thought was a bit too much of a loss so did it a couple more times and it was 12st 10lb. Gonna stick with this one which is 2lbs loss although still not convinced.

I would have taken the 12st 9Ib as a moral boost! LOL! I find i can fluctuate by two pounds from one minute to the next - its all so confusing..
Glad you are still feeling up for it! I am just off to the gym myself... fab lol

Not really much to report really other than I weighted myself on Friday after what was a good week and I was 12st 11lb. This shows that I have put on a lb since my last weigh in but lost a lb since a week earlier so can't be too down hearted. I also came on today ans I used to find that when I was dieting before I would maybe put on a lb before my period and then lose 2 or 3 afterwards. We'll see.
i had a blow out on Fri night. And by that I mean that I cooked a normal meal for us all and usually I would just have the pie/sausage/ chicken plus veg. Fri night I had chicken with mushy peas AND hash browns. Then for pudding I had 2 ice lollies and 2 or 3 weight watchers biscuits instead of 1. If I add up the calories it's not really that bad. We then had a BBQ yesterday and let myself eat whatever I wanted. I had 1 burger and then a plateful of salad with cous cous aqnd potato salad. Not bad in th end really although I did have about 3 glasses of wine and some trifle and cake but hey ho. It was time of the month and a celebration so killed 2 birds with 1 stone. I'm back on track today though.
