Sensitive to the bright lights in the supermarket... (it has improved) but i still cant manage long in shops. Im not letting it Put me off popping to the shops but finding it frustrating... As the depression keeps lifting will this continue to improve? I dont know how much to push myself when the lights are effecting me.... thats when the lightheadedness (wonder if anxitity) kicks in.... ive never had issues in going to the shops just since all this happened. I know its still early days for me (have seen improvements) been on meds for 10 weeks. When the children are loud and moving about i sometimes feel lightheaded & find it to much.
Its nice to see on here im not alone and so many people are on their own jounerys with this. Im just so fruatrated by it - but guess thats a good sign im getting better....

I found supermarkets really hard too and I remember the awful lightheaded/dizzy feeling. I think it's great - and important - that you're not letting it stop you going but don't be hard on yourself either if it's too much. More than once I had to dump my shoppung and make a run for it. The more you do it as you recover it will get easier I promise.

Am pleased to hear it does improve as recover starts, thats encouraging.
Im wondering if PMT has made it more senstive again to lights.... flipping joys of being a woman!!

Yes I developed sensitivity to light - no idea why. And I used to feel very ill and out of it st the supermarket - it's busy overwhelming and I think the stress can bring in the anxiety. It will improve x

Hi Frogface.
Concerntration and sensitiy is poor today but putting it down to time of the month and going down with a cold.
My CPN phoned today, cos i mentionedy sensitiy to light and concertation was still there & today was a bad day with it (even though so much better than it was) she said bout uping my medication... im on a very low dose but have already come along way in 11 weeks i dont want to up it. If i up it i may still experience theses symptons anyway As the depression lifts.
Are you experiencing pnd Ff or a survivor of it?

Survivor for sure with a few bumps along the road. My wee girl is five now. It took me a long time to take mess at all but they changed my life and probably saved it. I still have the posts here where I was terrified of anti depressants and refused to accept help for a long time.

My wee boy is 6, another boy 4 & a 7 month Old... so life all go for me. 1st time with pni.
At the moment im happy on my meds being low as long as im functioning.i can open my eyes now and talk so a hugh improvent. I think i know what areas i need to work on & through.... gonna start councelling soon and am hoping cpn will offer me cbt.
Im learning to go a day at a time, go for a walk most days, not push myself to much And ride out the bad days. Trying to improve my diet. Its hard when my gp and cpn say different bout medication.
Im having more good days than bad now... im functioning better than i was. Sesntivity & concernrtaion lack of there but not all the time now. So believe im on the road of recovery
What a learning expereince this is espically about myself.

You sound like you've got really good understanding of yourself and what works for you, that will be a big help to you.

Ups and down are a normal (yet horrible ) part of PNI for the vast majority of women. You really are doing all the right things to help yourself well done.
It does sound like you e come along way in recovery and will continue to do so. If you're happy in the dose of meds you're on stick with it. If you dip and can't seem to come out of it then an increase is always an option x

Hi.
Keeping moving forward, ups and downs. Sensitivity to light improving and concertration. But conceetration does get bad at points (when with people) put that to anxitiy!
Trying to just ride it all out and push through the anxitiy but it exhauses me so need to work hard on pacing myself.
Distruped sleep still frustrating me.
Just going day by day.
Hows you?

Honestly you're doing all the right things. And yes it's incredibly exhausting so do take time out to rest. It will get better. All good with me thanks - just got cold and feel a bit drained with itx
