Only had a few big blips but just small blip days really.
So having big blip for a few days and wondering how do i know if its me going backwards.... or just a long big blip..

Blips are apart of recovery and regardless how far into recovery you are the intensity of the blips doesn't really matter, it doesn't mean your going backwards. For example I am a year into recovery and I have blips still quite a lot. Some times it can be for a morning,1 day 2 days a week 2 weeks and they can be not too bad or they can feel horrendous. Unfortunately that is the road to recovery and it's so frustrating. Longer harder blips are not an indication that you are going backwards it's just the nature of the illness. It feels like your going back to square one at times but your not it can just feel like that especially when you have had spells of feeling better. Does that make sense?

Sorry it's a crappy time for you.
In my experience overall the blips did get less intense shorter but lighter blips would be mixed up with the odd horrible blip. So it isn't a sign you're going backwards or not recovering at all. It's a hard time in your life atm with your father in law being so ill. Without PNI I imagine you'd find it difficult.
Just keep an eye on yourself and be really kind to yourself too. It can help you healx

FIL passed away.... hense why this blip i guess!
Like you say im not going backwards. I just need to keep being kind to myself.

Just had a wee wobble and thought was going backwards. Have calmed now and going bit by bit again.
Just keep getting tension headaches which are knocking me.... trying to learn how to relax.

Samb if you can, download a free app called Headspace. It's really great and takes 10 minutes a day.
