After sufferring from a severe bout of PND and eventually climbing out of the worst of the 'hell hole' (sorry but thats what it was like!!) I gradually started to question, if not obsess about my future. What if this, what if that, what if the other - on and on and on worrying - something I have had to try to 'unlearn' .
After getting over the TEXT that I was going to lash out at my children, my next major fear was getting ill again. I could not find much information about what happens after PND and whether or not it meant I would have to tread very carefully for the rest of my life in order to avoid any further form of depressive illness. To my delight, I spoke to Liz Wise an expert and specialist councellor on PND, she is a past sufferer and has made a video about the illness. She reassured me that PND is not linked to other forms of depression and that once you've had it, that's it, it is a finite illness and (unless of course you are going to have another child) you are no more likely to suffer from other forms of depression than anyone else. Please forgive me if you already knew this and for those who didn't I just wanted to let you know!
