Hi
I have never done this before, but have read things on here
My wife was diagnosed was PND 3 months ago after 2 and half years, our marriage has been under strain when we found out I was relieved and so was she as neither of us knew what was going on, why there was no intimacy in our relationship.
She was given a prescription of Prozac and after 2 months the Dr upped the dose.
That was 5 weeks ago, and she was saying how good she felt just the other day.
This morning she has got up and said she didn't want to be with me and it had been going on since our daughter was 4-6 months old, and she had been denying the way she felt and hoped it would be OK.
She is leaving me and our 2yrs 9mths daughter and it feels like my world has just fallen apart, she says she needs time on her own......
Is this "normal" after taking medication or is this part of PND, prior to the birth of our daughter we were so happy, then within 2 months the changes started to appear in her.
I have tried to talk to her suggesting we see a Dr for 2+ years but she said she was OK.
Our Dr suggested getting pyhsco-sexual therapy through relate, we had 3 sessions, 1 together and 1 each history taking, she was due to on Monday for further history taking.
I am just in shock and she wants to get out of her as soon as possible, I have asked is there someone else she promises me that there isn't.
I just don't know what to do my only real concern right now is that my little girl is as unaffected as possible my parents will give me as much help as I need.
Sorry this has gone on so long but I just wanted to give as much background as possible in the hope someone identifies with me.
