Hi Lisa
Thanks hunni. I agree, space is good when the children are with someone you know and trust. I also feel better when I've cleaned up - and feel sense of satisfaction as I tend to leave it these days till it really needs doing XX

Ah well, its difficult running around for little ones! It isn't really worth stressing yourself out and that was one of the main problems I had at the beginning I would leave my house in an absolute state and I didn't actually know how to clean up. Well I did but I would have huge issues about cleaning things because I was always concerned about cross-contamination and never used a dishcloth more than once and I would wash my hands atleast 50-60 times a day. These obsessive thoughts drove me nuts and I actually didnt clean up anything because I was too scared too which I found really pathetic but I have got a lot better with that now. My hands are so dry and once or twice they became so sore even to touch them it hurt because they were cracked from all the handwashing and got even worse when I had to put my hands in bleach.
You definately need your own space and you feel so much better but its quite difficult if you don't know what to do in that time because I feel when that happens I think about my symptoms too much and dwell on them but from your words at the bottom of every post you seem to be well on your way to recovery and possibly get on fantastic with a 'day off.'
Take care, Lisa x

Hi Lisa,
Yes, I think the worst is behind me now. I'm back at work and do really enjoy a day off , more than ever! But I too used to dwell on my symptoms and the day would really drag... But it will get better for you xx

Hi Lisa & Hopeful & anyone else...........
All is still well, apart from the fact that I'm awake at 2 something in the morning!!!!
Didn't go away as planned last week, Chas was so busy with work we postponed until next week, so all is not lost and in fact I've really enjoyed my time on my own with the kids. I usually panic and think 'Oh my god what am i going to do with 2 kids at home all day!!Arrrgh!!!' BUT, We went out and found new things to do and as the weather has/had been reasonable were able to get in the garden! Maybe the kids are at the age where they, particularly Moll, can join and participate and this has made life easier, I just feel that this hol has turned out to be a best ever, one for the history books, well mine anyway!!
Lisa in answer to your Q's I have been on 20mgs of Fluoxetine since August last year, I think they took about 3/4 weeks before I noticed a difference and ok it wasn't miraculous suddenly cured, but it certainly took the edge off the severity of my moods, I was very angry and would get snappy for the slightest thing with the kids& chas mainly. I just wasn't a very nice person to know. You will start to feel better soon and by just chatting on here you will improve as finding people who are experiencing the same sorts of things is so helpful. What other help are you receiving? I go to a support group for PND, Health visitor led. I wish I had gone in the early days, when Joseph was a few months old. You sound like you have family nearby? Which is good, mine aren't too far away but too far to pop over or be there quickly for babysitting but I have good neighbours/friend and we have a good arrangement if we need short notice childcare!!
I too feel good after cleaning or tackling the toy mountain, but it just doesn't happen very often! But hey life's too short to worry about whether the inside of the oven is sparkling!!!
Will Tap again soon hopefully in daylight hours when normal human beings are awake!!!
Lots of love
Clare xxxxxx

Hi Clare
When you say
I too feel good after cleaning or tackling the toy mountain, but it just doesn't happen very often! But hey life's too short to worry about whether the inside of the oven is sparkling!!!
I couldn't agree more, and am getting better with this philosophy, slowly!
Love HopefulX
